William Hill News look at the betting for the next permanent Burnley manager, with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard priced up as the early market leader.
With the Clarets dropping down to the EFL Championship, the board will be looking to make a shrewd appointment as they look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Gerrard has been out of work for almost 18 months but perhaps the time is right and the Burnley job will bring less pressure than if he was in charge of a top flight club.

“Craig Bellamy is another interesting name in contention at 5/1 – Bellamy was first-team coach at Burnley under Vincent Kompany, and may be swayed to leave his current role as Wales boss, having missed out on the 2026 World Cup.
“Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is priced at 7/1 while it’s 9/1 for Liam Rosenior to bounce back from his sacking at Chelsea with a quick return to the dugout.”
