WNBA 2026 Odds: Who Will Lift The Trophy At The End Of The Season?
William Hill News tipster Sam Cox previews the 2026 WNBA season, with an outright look at the latest odds and betting predictions.
The 2026 WNBA tips off on May 8. We’ve got high-profile rookies, two new expansion teams in Portland and Toronto, and a fresh CBA which sees players more handsomely rewarded and teams given greater flexibility with their roster building.
The New York Liberty are the basketball betting favourites ahead of opening night. Despite winning the title in three of the last four years, the Las Vegas Aces have slightly longer odds than the Liberty and the same price as Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever.
WNBA Prediction
History suggests the Aces won’t win four titles in five years. It’s an incredibly tough ask in any league, and no team has achieved it in the WNBA since the league’s first four seasons.
The combination of elite talent, matchup flexibility, and size makes the Liberty the team to beat. Fully in win-now mode and with Satou Sabally giving yet more lineup options, a healthy Liberty will be incredibly formidable.
Keep a close eye on how Angel Reese impacts the Atlanta Dream and the Dallas Wings will be appointment viewing with Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd, but neither of those teams look to be on the same level as the Liberty, Aces, and Fever.
Best Bets
- Indiana Fever: Best regular season record (7/2)
- Angel Reese: Defensive Player of the Year (9/1)
- New York Liberty to win the title (9/4)
Two-Horse Race?
The Liberty and Aces have combined to win the last four titles. A’ja Wilson is the world’s best player and the 5/2 joint-favourite with Clark for regular-season MVP.
New York has a legitimate Big Three in Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and Jonquel Jones. For the Aces, the experience and outside shooting of Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young make Wilson’s life easier, with the 2018 first-overall pick coming off her fourth MVP and third Defensive Player of the Year.
After posting the best regular-season record and posting a dominant +12.3 net rating in 2025, it would be foolish to rule out the Minnesota Lynx as contenders. Minnesota is 13/2, which can be put down to a turbulent offseason with plenty of roster turnover.
Rookie Olivia Miles is a key player to watch in the early going, plus they need a big season from veteran forward Natasha Howard given the importance of the players lost over the winter.
Fever’s Chances
Even with Clark limited to 13 games, Indiana was third in shot quality last season. Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell showed how strong this Fever roster is even without Clark.
Monique Billings was a shrewd depth acquisition as a free agent, and it was reassuring to see the Fever run it back by re-signing Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull. Clark looked healthy in preseason and enters her third season as a serious MVP candidate.
The defense is a bit of a worry, but it might not matter if Indiana goes nuclear on the offensive end. This team has title-winning upside.
