Next Celtic Manager Odds: Berthel Askou To Take Charge At Parkhead?

Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou is the new favourite to take over from Martin O’Neill as Celtic manager next season, according to the latest odds at William Hill News.

The leading bookmaker make the Dane a 3/1 shot to be in the Parkhead dugout on the first day of next season after steering William Hill Premiership rivals Motherwell to a top half finish this campaign.

Berthel Askou leads former Celtic player Robbie Keane (7/2) in the market, with Portugal boss Roberto Martinez a 9/2 chance.

Current interim manager, Martin O’Neill is 7/1 to keep the job beyond the summer break.

Celtic Manager on 1st August 2026 Odds:

  • Jens Berthel Askou – 3/1
  • Robbie Keane – 7/2
  • Roberto Martinez – 9/2
  • Martin O’Neill – 7/1
  • Bar – 12/1

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Hearts have of course been the major story of this thrilling William Hill Premiership campaign, but Motherwell have also created headlines with their free-flowing brand of football under manager Jens Berthel Askou.

“With the Steelmen set to record one of their best ever league finishes, it’s no surprise that several big sides are eyeing Berthel Askou, and we now make him the 3/1 favourite to be the next Celtic manager when the new season kicks off on 1st August.

“Martin O’Neill could still lead the Hoops to another William Hill Premiership title, but he is only 7/1 to remain in his post beyond this season, with Robbie Keane (7/2) and Roberto Martinez (9/2) both ahead of the legendary Celtic manager in the market.”
