US Open Round 4 Best Bets: 6/1 Fancy Heads Selections On Final Day At Shinnecock Hills

William Hill News preview the fourth and final round of the 2026 US Open, with our tipster providing his best bets and predictions on Championship Sunday at Shinnecock Hills.

Wyndham Clark shot even par on Saturday to hold a six-shot lead going into the final round of the 2026 U.S. Open. Only one golfer in majors history has failed to win when leading by six or more strokes going into the final round.

As a result, Clark is the 1/3 favourite in the golf betting markets. A four-man group on one under features Scottie Scheffler, who is seen as Clark’s only meaningful threat by William Hill. Scheffler is 11/2 with no one else shorter than 25/1.

Brutal Saturday

Scheffler was one of two players to go under par on Saturday. The conditions were textbook U.S. Open, making low scores almost impossible. Clark needed a video-game-esque shot to somehow make an eagle on the 16th, while others were battling to avoid bogeys and doubles throughout the round.

Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa shot three over, Matt Fitzpatrick went four over, and Rory McIlroy slipped to 10 shots off the lead by going three over. Maverick McNealy, Akshay Bhatia, and Justin Rose were also among the group to lose ground by going three over in the third round.

The result is a historic lead for Clark. He took advantage of his tee time on Thursday to put in a low score and has been in complete control of this event ever since.

Under the Radar Performers

Sahith Theegala has continued to impress. At 9/1 to be the winner without Clark, Theegala leads the field in strokes gained tee-to-green and strokes gained on approach. He’s in the group that are six back, but his overall play has been very encouraging heading into Sunday.

Tied at 13th, Alex Fitzpatrick and Corey Conners are another two who have been a bit let down by their putters so far. Their iron play has been excellent throughout the first three rounds. It’s not outrageous that they make some ground on Sunday and put the pressure on Clark if conditions are slightly easier to score.

Keegan Bradley has been immensely consistent with in driving accuracy and has hit greens in regulation as frequently as almost anyone in the field. A return to his Thursday and Friday form on approach and some hot putting could put Bradley in contention for the top five.

Best Bets

A historic collapse needs to be combined with a stellar final round if anyone other than Clark is going to win. Scheffler feels like the only realistic threat, though Schauffele’s play earlier in the week could make the 25/1 appealing as a longshot.

Speaking of play earlier in the week, what about Morikawa at 11/10 to finish in the top 10? He’s tied for 10th as it stands and sits only two shots off second.

Conners (3/1) and Alex Fitzpatrick (12/5) each represent decent value for a top 10 finish. The 6/1 price on Alex Fitzpatrick as the top Englishman is certainly worth a punt.
