London could be hotter than Miami when England take on Norway on Saturday, according to William Hill.

The leading bookmaker go 3/1 for the capital to record a higher temperature than the host city for Saturday’s World Cup quarter final.

Much has been made of the soaring temperatures at the World Cup, but the scene is set to be even hotter for those watching from home. Either way, the England fans will surely be out in full force to support their side on Saturday.

Elsewhere, it is 6/5 that the mercury rises above 35C in England when the heatwave hits its peak on Thursday, while 6/1 is the price for July 9th to be the hottest day of 2026 so far.

July Weather Specials:

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “While the Three Lions’ World Cup run begins to heat up, things are only getting warmer back at home and we make it 6/5 for the temperature to top 35C tomorrow on what is set to be the peak of the current heatwave.

“37.7C was recorded on 26th June, and at 6/1 we can’t rule out tomorrow’s temperature surpassing that to make 9th July the hottest day of 2026 so far.

England take on Norway in Miami on Saturday night and the heatwave is set to continue all the way through the weekend. We make it 3/1 that the temperatures on home soil will scorch past those in Miami on Saturday.

“Hydration breaks will surely be on the agenda for fans in the capital as they watch their players tackle the heat in the US!”
