Clare College’s new River Wing early favourite for 2026 RIBA Stirling Prize
Clare College River Wing 5/2; Paddington Square and Pembroke College developments 3/1
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “With the shortlist for the 2026 RIBA Stirling Award just announced, we have the River Wing development of Clare College, Cambridge by Witherford Watson Mann Architects as our early 5/2 favourite to land the award.
“There’s competition from across the Cambridge campus though, as the expansion of Pembroke College is just behind at 3/1, and the regeneration and development of Paddington Square is also joint second-favourite.
“Sergison Bates Architects’ house at Fairmead, a family home set in the Epping Forest, is priced at 4/1, along with BEAM, a rejuvenated community hub, while Lion Green Road, a suburban housing development of 157 dwellings, rounds off the shortlist at 5/1.”
