William Hill Premiership Predictions & Best Bets For Sunday 30th August 2026
THE embryonic William Hill Premiership table in Scotland is generating plenty of betting interest and Tony Incenzo previews Sunday’s triple header.
I’m particularly surprised that Old Firm giants Rangers have yet to win. But these are very early days of course. Here are the upcoming Sunday pairings alongside my considered score predictions to assist your football betting…
Aberdeen v Rangers Prediction
- Pittodrie Stadium
- Kick-off: 12 noon
Aberdeen preview – The opening 2-1 home win past Hearts was then followed by losing 2-0 at Dundee. So mixed fortunes thus far for head coach Stephen Robinson who has embarked on a first full campaign in the dug-out after his appointment on 12th March.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen have cooled interest in signing Republic of Ireland midfield man Killian Phillips from St Mirren due to the £500,000 asking price.
Rangers preview – Slumbering on one point. The 2-1 home reverse against Hibernian last time out was particularly disappointing. Therefore not a good start for June appointment Derek McInnes.
He switched to Ibrox as first team manager penning a three year contract on leaving Heart of Midlothian. Currently, Rangers are being linked with two possible signings – Portland Timbers striker Kevin Kelsy and Lens front man Rayan Fofana.
Score prediction: Dazzling 4-4.
Dundee v Hibernian Prediction
- Dens Park
- Kick-off: 3pm
Dundee preview – Back-to-back victories without conceding a goal have emphatically overturned the initial 1-0 defeat away to Celtic. In particular, Dundee are basking in the glory of their momentous 2-0 success at very near neighbours Dundee United last Saturday.
Elsewhere, negotiations have been taking place for AFC Bournemouth defender Matai Akinmboni to move to Dens Park on a season long loan deal.
Hibernian preview – Jekyll and Hyde this campaign losing 2-1 against visitors Motherwell before triumphing by the same scoreline away to Rangers. Sunday saw 19 year old Manchester United midfield man Jacob Devaney join Hibs on loan incorporating the eventual option for a permanent transfer.
Score prediction: Dundee delight 1-0.
St. Mirren v Motherwell Prediction
- The Marbill Coaches Stadium
- Kick-off: 3pm
St. Mirren preview – Protecting a 100 percent record thanks to solid clean sheet wins over Falkirk (2-0 away) and St Johnstone (1-0 home). In fact, St Mirren are the only team yet to concede a goal in the William Hill Premiership.
However I am concerned by their subsequent 5-1 hammering at Rangers in the Premier Sports (League) Cup. Right-back Calvin Ramsay, 23, switched to Paisley on Tuesday sealing a season long loan from Liverpool.
Motherwell preview – Unbeaten on four points. It is a decent return for new boss Alfred Johansson since his arrival on 18th June. He is hoping to complete the £350,000 swoop for midfielder Jardell Kanga from Finnish club Ilves.
Substantial possible add-ons mean the fee could ultimately rise as high as £900,000.
Score prediction: Terrific 3-3.
