US Open Betting Tips: Naomi Osaka, Alex de Minaur & More – Thursday 3rd September 2026

| BY Sam Cox

All eyes are on the 2026 US Open this Thursday and fans can find tennis betting odds on the biggest matches – which are previewed below at William Hill News.

US Open Predictions for September 3

  • Alex de Minaur to win and both players to win a set (13/10)
  • Karen Khachanov +1.5 sets (10/11)
  • Naomi Osaka to win 2-0 (3/4)
  • Francesca Jones under 7.5 games (8/11)

Botic van de Zandschulp vs Alex de Minaur Prediction

Alex de Minaur has a 4-0 record against Botic van de Zandschulp. De Minaur has only dropped two sets in those four matches, and he beat van de Zadschulp in Rotterdam earlier this year.

Recent wins over Luciano Darderi and Daniil Medvedev will give van de Zandschulp some confidence, despite his poor career record in this matchup. He was a quarterfinalist at the US Open in 2021, though he hasn’t been beyond the third round of a Grand Slam since 2024.

De Minaur hasn’t been playing his best tennis. He’s reached the last eight at the previous two US Opens, and should compete into the second week again, but there’s every chance he faces a scare here.

Félix Auger-Aliassime vs Karen Khachanov Prediction

Karen Khachanov beat Félix Auger-Aliassime when they last met. Khachanov dropped only four games in his first-round match, while Auger-Aliassime was made to work a bit harder by Rinky Hijikata.

Khachanov failed to win a match at his last three events, but it’s not like Auger-Aliassime has been setting the world alight. The Canadian hasn’t been beyond the quarters of a tournament since February.

Experienced and with his best Slam performances coming on hard courts, we fancy Khachanov to at least push this deep.

Naomi Osaka vs Kateřina Siniaková Prediction

These players have only met once since 2019. Naomi Osaka beat Kateřina Siniaková in straight sets at Wimbledon last year and enters this match as the clear favourite.

Both players won their first-round matches without breaking sweat. Osaka has been playing at a pretty high level of late, even without a title to show for it. Siniaková hasn’t really achieved anything notable as a singles player since beating Mirra Andreeva at Indian Wells.

Anything other than a routine win for Osaka would be a major surprise.

Iva Jovic vs Francesca Jones Prediction

Impressing in qualifying and fighting hard to win her first-round match, Francesca Jones has reached the second round of the US Open for the first time in her career. The Brit is aiming to make her first-ever Grand Slam third round appearance.

Iva Jovic didn’t impress in Toronto or Cincinnati, but the teenage American made the quarters of this year’s Australian Open and reached the fourth round at Wimbledon.

Yes, Jones is a woman in form, but she’s not beaten a top 50 player since Auckland back in January.
