Next Premier League Manager to Leave Odds: Lampard and Carrick Slashed
William Hill News’ latest odds show Frank Lampard and Michael Carrick have both shortened in the betting to be the first Premier League manager to leave their post this season following defeats in the latest round of fixtures.
Coventry boss Lampard was as big as 10/1 prior to the weekend but has seen his odds tumble to 4/1 following the Sky Blues’ 5-0 defeat to Brighton.
Carrick has also shortened in the market and is now 6/1 after Manchester United were unable to find their way past a 10-man Manchester City in the Manchester derby.
Alvaro Arbeloa remains the favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave at 11/4, despite drifting slightly after Fulham earned a point away at Liverpool.
Roberto De Zerbi is next in the betting at 4/1, alongside Lampard, while Pierre Sage is 5/1 and Carrick is priced at 6/1. Unai Emery is also in the running at 8/1.

William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “Frank Lampard and Michael Carrick have both shortened in the betting to be the first Premier League manager to leave following defeats at the weekend.
“Coventry’s 5-0 loss to Brighton has seen Lampard’s price contract sharply from 10/1 to 4/1, while Carrick is now 6/1 after Manchester United were unable to take advantage against a 10-man Manchester City.
“Alvaro Arbeloa remains the frontrunner at 11/4, despite drifting slightly following Fulham’s draw at Liverpool. Roberto De Zerbi is also among the leading contenders at 4/1, with Unai Emery further back in the market at 8/1.”
