ITV Racing Tips: Best Bets At Newmarket & Worcester, With 4/1 Filly Fancied As NAP Of The Day

Newmarket’s Cambridgeshire Meeting enters its second day on Friday with ITV set to show five races from the Rowley Mile and William Hill News preview each race on what should be an informative afternoon.

1.15 Newmarket – 1m Rosemary Stakes (Listed Race Fillies & Mares)

Low-to-middle draws  are statistically heavily favoured in the Rosemary Stakes, which makes me side with ARISAIG in this Listed affair.

Officially rated 99, she is one of the highest-rated mares in the field and represents genuine form of Group 3 calibre and I think she can make the most of her class today.

1.50 Newmarket – 1m4f Princess Royal Stakes (Group 3) Fillies & Mares)

WITHOUT PREJUDICE, trained by John & Thady Gosden, looks to hold a massive each-way chance in our horse racing betting.

She arrives unbeaten following two highly impressive novice wins over 1m2f, plus Gosden has won this race four times previously which bodes well for her prospects.

2.08 Worcester – 2m4f Handicap Chase

Ridden by champion jockey contender Sean Bowen for trainer Jack Jones, REGAL RENAISSANCE is a player today if she handles the step up to Class 2 company.

Her ultra-consistent form figures of 11132 should see her put up a brave effort.

2.25 Newmarket – 7f Rockfel Stakes (Group 2 Fillies) 

Trained by Karl Burke and ridden by James Doyle LIGHT OF DAWN (NAP) arrives with massive credentials after recording a brilliant victory in the Group 3 Prestige Stakes at Goodwood.

Her early-season third-place finish in the Albany Stakes behind top-class juveniles Libertango and Sun Goddess has worked out well and the Wathnan-owned runners are currently flying at the moment.

2.40 Worcester – 2m4f Brush Handicap Hurdle

Owned by a good friend of mine, REGARDE (NB) loves this track and won a Summer Qualifier over this exact 2m4f Worcester trip on 10th July. He easily drew clear to beat Yellow Card and Kiwi De Cotte.

At odds of around 16/1 in our sports betting, the nine-year-old Kapgarde gelding looks sure to be in the mix at a fancy price.

3.00 Newmarket – 1m Joel Stakes (Group 2)

TALK OF NEW YORK is the clear market favourite for Charlie Appleby and Godolphin. He has top-tier Group 1 class, having finished second in the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot earlier in the season.

The Wootton Bassett-colt can be forgiven his blip last time out and will be very hard to beat.

3.35 Newmarket – 1m4f Godolphin Stakes (Listed) 

FORTITUDINE holds a major class advantage over his three rivals in this Listed Stakes and odds of 9/4 look very generous indeed.

Before going onto Group races next season, he should be able to convert his all-weather form to turf under William Buick.
