Singapore Grand Prix Predictions 2026: Value Backing Brit For Podium

Max Verstappen is the narrow F1 betting favourite for this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix ahead of Kimi Antonelli.

Verstappen was dominant throughout last weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, but he’s never won in Singapore. Antonelli is in a commanding position in the Drivers’ Championship with an 84-point lead over his teammate George Russell, who will start from the back of the grid on Sunday due to an engine penalty.

Singapore Grand Prix Best Bets

  • Lewis Hamilton Top 3 Finish (6/5)
  • Lewis Hamilton, Isack Hadjar & Arvid Lindblad All Top 10 Finish (11/8)
  • Fernando Alonso Top 10 Finish (Evens)

Despite a misjudged tyre choice for the delayed start, Lewis Hamilton fought back to the podium in Malaysia on Sunday. It was vintage Hamilton, dragging life out of his tyres in difficult conditions and overruling his team’s proposed strategy.

A four-time winner in Singapore, the Brit should be one of the drivers least impacted by the lack of practice time this weekend.

Isack Hadjar delivered another strong drive to finish fifth. He’s not finished outside the top 10 since he retired in Miami. The Red Bulls were mightily impressive in Malaysia overall.

Then, Arvid Lindblad for the top 10 has become one of our favourite picks. He’s been in the points in 10 of the last 11 races. It was another double points finish for the Racing Bulls last weekend.

What about the progress made by Aston Martin? Lance Stroll ended a streak of retirements with a 12th in Malaysia (his best placing of the season). Fernando Alonso backed up a strong qualifying showing with an eighth to move Aston Martin only five points behind Williams.

Demands of Singapore

In high heat and humidity, the physical demands of the Singapore Grand Prix are discussed every year. It’s also mentally challenging with very little margin for error and track position carrying so much importance.

Like most street circuits, safety cars are a factor for bettors to consider. We saw how safety cars changed the shape of last weekend’s race in Malaysia after the delayed start, and similar could happen in Singapore, particularly with some rain expected across the weekend.

Overtaking opportunities are hard to come by. The last three race winners have done so from pole, and we have to go back to 2017 for the last time the Singapore Grand Prix was won by someone starting outside the top three.

Demanding Weekend

This is the final sprint weekend of the season, meaning drivers have one hour of practice before diving into the sprint shootout. Drivers need time to build confidence around the unforgiving streets of Singapore, particularly with qualifying carrying such significance.

The drivers that adapt quickest to the imposing walls and changeable conditions are likely to get the most out of their cars in the sprint shootout and race qualifying.

Pirelli has opted to bring the three softest tyre compounds this weekend. Tyre degradation isn’t expected to be a major problem, with a one-stop strategy thought to be the way to go. The soft compound could see some use in the sprint race and Sunday’s race after showing its limit degradation in Baku and Budapest.
