Zack Polanski Betting Specials: Green Leader Exit Odds

| BY News Team

Zack Polanski 10/3 with William Hill to leave role this year; Hannah Spencer (3/1) attracts most bets to be next leader

Polanski is expected to remain as the leader of the Green Party beyond the end of this year despite losing the Holborn & St Pancras by-election, with William Hill pricing his departure in 2026 at 10/3.

The bookmaker makes 2027 or later the clear 1/5 favourite for Polanski’s exit date, suggesting Thursday’s defeat is unlikely to bring an immediate end to his leadership.

In the market to eventually succeed Polanski, Ellie Chowns now leads at 11/4, narrowly ahead of Hannah Spencer at 3/1 and Mothin Ali at 7/2. Former Greens leader Adrian Ramsay is priced at 5/1, followed by Rachel Millward at 6/1 and Carla Denyer at 7/1.

Despite Chowns heading the betting, Spencer has attracted the most individual bets, the highest total stakes and the largest single bet placed in the next Green Party leader market.

Zack Polanski Exit Date Odds:

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Zack Polanski may have lost the Holborn & St Pancras by-election, but our market suggests he has done enough to survive the immediate fallout. He is 10/3 to leave as Greens leader this year, with 2027 or later the clear favourite at 1/5.

“A vote share below 30% would have been much harder for him to defend. Around 33%, a gap of roughly 12 points to Labour and a sizeable increase in the Greens’ share gives Polanski a result he can point to, even if it falls short of the breakthrough he wanted.

“Labour were always going to be difficult to dislodge, and the early prices overstated how competitive the contest would be. We moved Labour from 2/5 to 1/33 over a month, generally keeping them shorter than the wider market despite greater interest in the Greens.

“Ellie Chowns now heads our next leader market at 11/4, but Hannah Spencer is the standout name in terms of customer support. She has attracted the most bets, the most money and the largest individual bet, and is close behind at 3/1.”
