Brighton Specials: Seagulls favourites to win UEFA Conference League and fancied for PL Top 4
Brighton are the outright favourites in William Hill’s UEFA Conference League betting following Thursday night’s 4-0 victory over Lithuanian side Kauno Zalgiris.
The Seagulls are 2/1 to lift the trophy, with Atalanta their nearest challengers at 11/2. Monaco follow at 6/1, ahead of Freiburg at 7/1 and Braga at 12/1.
The optimism extends to Brighton’s domestic prospects, with Fabian Hurzeler’s side priced shorter than Manchester United for both a Premier League top-four finish and the title.
Brighton are 6/4 to finish in the top four, compared with United at 2/1. Only Arsenal at 1/50, Manchester City at 1/3, Chelsea at 4/7 and Liverpool at 4/6 are ahead of the Seagulls in the market.
They are also fifth-favourites for the Premier League title at 28/1, with United further back at 66/1.
Attention now turns to Sunday’s meeting with rivals Crystal Palace, with Brighton odds-on at 11/20 to follow their European success with a domestic victory.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Brighton are setting the pace in our Conference League market following Thursday night’s 4-0 win over Lithuanian side Kauno Zalgiris. They are clear 2/1 favourites to lift the trophy, with a sizeable gap in the betting back to nearest challengers Atalanta at 11/2.
“The optimism extends to their domestic prospects too, as Brighton are shorter than Manchester United for both a top-four finish and the Premier League title. The Seagulls are 6/4 to make the top four compared to United at 2/1, while they are 28/1 for the title against United’s 66/1. Only Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool are ahead of Brighton in either market.
“With a European trophy and a top-four challenge firmly in Fabian Hurzeler’s sights, Brighton supporters have plenty to be excited about. A win over rivals Crystal Palace this weekend would make an already encouraging week even sweeter, and we make the Seagulls odds-on (11/20) to beat the Eagles on Sunday.”
