Sunday’s Premier League Predictions & Bet Builder Tips

William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews Sunday’s Premier League action from across the country.

Three more Premier League fixtures take place on Sunday afternoon, with Crystal Palace welcoming Newcastle United and Hull City entertaining Brentford in the 2pm kick-offs.

Sunderland then host Leeds United at 4.30pm, with the Black Cats desperate to put an end to their poor run of league results.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League Bet Builder odds and betting angles for Sunday’s fixtures:

Crystal Palace v Newcastle United – Sunday, 2pm

  • Crystal Palace have struggled defensively in the Premier League, conceding at least twice in 11 of their last 13 fixtures. The Eagles were beaten 5-0 by rivals Brighton last weekend, with their ongoing problems at the back giving Newcastle plenty of encouragement ahead of Sunday’s encounter.
  • However, Newcastle have also endured a difficult time defensively on their travels, conceding four goals in each of their last two Premier League away fixtures. The Magpies will be hoping to avoid another heavy defeat, having not conceded at least four goals in three consecutive away league matches since September 1929.

Hull City v Brentford – Sunday, 2pm

Fancy building your own bet?

  • Hull City have been involved in several low-scoring encounters recently, with just four of their last 12 competitive fixtures seeing both teams find the net. That means at least one side has failed to score in eight of those matches, a statistic worth considering when looking at Sunday’s goals markets.
  • Brentford have struggled to pick up victories away from home in recent months, with their last Premier League success on the road coming back in February. The Bees have since gone eight league away matches without a win (D6, L2), a run they’ll be hoping to end when they travel to Hull on Sunday afternoon.

Sunderland v Leeds United – Sunday, 4.30pm

  • Sunderland have endured a difficult run in the Premier League, losing each of their last four fixtures. The Black Cats suffered a 2-0 defeat away at Bournemouth last weekend and now return to the Stadium of Light looking for a much-needed response. However, their recent form suggests another difficult afternoon could be on the cards.
  • Leeds United have enjoyed plenty of success on their previous visits to Sunderland, losing just one of their last eight top-flight trips to the Stadium of Light. Goals have also been a regular feature of their recent away fixtures, with nine of Leeds’ last 12 league matches on the road seeing both teams score.
