Inothewayurthinkin to take alternative route back to Gold Cup

William Hill ambassador Gavin Cromwell has revealed the reason behind why Inothewayurthinkin has not been entered in the John Durkan.

Speaking to William Hill, Cromwell said: “Inothewayurthinkin has started his season in the John Durkan for the past couple of years, but we’re not going there with him this year.

“He’s been run off his feet in it the last two times and it’s a very fast run race over a shorter trip, so I don’t see the point in doing that to him again.

“We’ll be looking to start him off in a race over a longer trip, which will suit him better. There’s nothing set in stone for him at the moment, the only thing that’s certain is he won’t be running in the John Durkan.

“Wherever he starts off, we’ll absolutely be aiming him back at the Cheltenham Gold Cup.”
