Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has the perfect set of team-mates to fire him to MVP of the season glory this year, according to our ambassador Jason Bell.

Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is the current favourite to be crowned MVP this season, with last year’s winner, Lamar Jackson, also in the running.

Former Cowboys, Houston Texans and New York Giants player Bell, however, is backing Prescott to see off the competition given the team he has around him at the AT&T Stadium.

“For the MVP of the season I’m going with Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys,” Bell told us. “The reason why is because of the players around him on offense.

“He has dynamic playmakers and that’s what you need as a quarterback if you want to put up tremendous numbers. He has the protection with his offensive line and he can run the ball with his running back Ezekiel Elliott. I think Dak Prescott will have an outstanding year.”

As for which NFL teams to look out for this year, Bell is backing the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers to impress and is expecting the latter to go all the way, having failed at the final hurdle last season.

“For my predictions for the Conference champion winners, I’m going in the AFC with the Baltimore Ravens,” Bell said. “It’s time for Lamar Jackson and that team to take that next step in the play-offs. I feel like they have the team to do that this year.

“And in the NFC, I’m going with a repeat from the San Francisco 49ers. I believe the Super Bowl hangover is not enough to keep them out of the race. They should have a good year because they are a balanced team that’s hungry to get back to the big dance.”

Bell added: “It’s early and things could change fast but right now for my Super Bowl champion prediction I’m going with the San Francisco 49ers. I believe they are a balanced team that are almost there. I think they have the opportunity and chance to get back there and be victorious this season.”
