NFL Week 12 preview: Cowboys to better Giants on Thanksgiving

| BY News Team

We’re at that point in the season where the winners start to separate themselves from the losers. This Thanksgiving we head to the AT&T Stadium for the Dallas Cowboys v the New York Giants, followed by the Tennessee Titans welcoming the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

These match ups should be highly entertaining and we preview the best of the action below.

New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys

We kick off week 12 with a blockbuster match up between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants. This fixture has been a staple of the NFC East calendar and will no doubt be one of the games of the weekend, with wild swings already occurring in the betting.

The New York Giants head into this match the heavy underdogs at 19/5 following their shock defeat to the Detroit Lions last weekend which saw them lose 31-18. With the Giants at a spread of +9.5 (10/11) for this fixture, it is the largest that the side have been at any point this season and does not bode well for Brian Daboll’s men. To add to the Giants problems, cornerback Adoree’ Jackson is going to be out of action this weekend following an injury picked up against the Lions.

The Dallas Cowboys will be looking to carry on their momentum after a crushing 40-3 victory over the Minnesota Vikings last time out, which is even more impressive considering the form of the Vikings before the match up.

The Cowboys are the 4/19 favourites, or -9.5 in the spread which is priced at 10/11. Running back Tony Pollard is one to watch ahead of this game, having scored six touchdowns in his last three games. He’s 9/2 to score 2+ touchdowns against the Giants.

With both teams now 7-3 each this season, all is to play for in the NFC East division, with the Cowboys looking to hold onto second place in the division. You won’t want to miss this one!

Cincinnati Bengals @ Tennessee Titans

Following a massive divisional victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cincinnati Bengals will head over to the Titan’s Nissan Stadium as the slight betting favourites at 5/6. The side are now 6-4 this season and sit in second place, just behind the Ravens in AFC North.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow played a critical role in his side’s win last weekend, having won four touch downs for his side and having made 355 yards. However, Bengals running back Joe Mixon suffered a concussion during the game so the jury is out on whether he will be match-ready prior to this weekend.

The Tennessee Titans will kick off the home match as the underdogs, with their odds currently sitting at 21/20 and +1.5 in the spread, it is clear that this is going to be one of the tightest games of the weekend.

The Titans are leading AFC South, with a current record of 7-3. Following last week’s win over the Green Bay Packers, their season appears to be going smoothly, and they will be looking to cement their position at the top of the division with victory here.

This match up will be key in shaping the future of the season for both sides in their respective divisions, and it is expected to be a relatively high scoring affair too with the over/under (10/11) at 42.5. Tensions will be running high, especially since this is a rematch of the 2022 NFL Playoff fixture between the two sides, where the Bengals snatched the victory.
