NFL Week 15 preview: Dolphins to end losing streak?

| BY News Team

The NFL is back this weekend with some action-packed fixtures. The Los Angeles Chargers face off against the Tennessee Titans for a classic AFC fixture, while elsewhere the Buffalo Bills hope to extend their winning streak as they welcome the struggling Miami Dolphins.

We preview the best of the action below.

Tennessee Titans @ Los Angeles Chargers

This is one of the most compelling match ups of the weekend with what is likely to be a closely fought battle in the American Football Conference. The Los Angeles Chargers will kick off as the 4/6 favourites and -3 in the spread.

Despite currently ranking second in AFC West, the Chargers are 7-6 this season and come into this game after a crucial victory over the Miami Dolphins which saw them win 23-17, which was arguably the best game the Chargers have played this season.

The Tennessee Titans also come into this fixture with a record of 7-6 so far, but lead their slightly inferior AFC South division. Ryan Cowden’s side head off to the SoFi Stadium as the slight underdogs at 13/10 or +3 in the spread.

The Titans will be licking their wounds after their worst loss of the season saw them get flattened by the Jacksonville Jaguars by 36-22. The team’s best offensive weapon ahead of this weekend is likely their running back Derrick Henry, who could play an instrumental part in picking apart the Charger’s defence.

Overall, this is a tough game to call, and either side could come out on top. Expect a high scoring clash however, with the over/under at 47.5 (10/11). In addition, this game helps to play a role in determining the AFC play-off picture, so you won’t want to miss this!

Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills

The Miami Dolphins have had a rough two weeks after losing on the road to the San Francisco 49ers and then the Los Angeles Chargers last weekend. Their skills will truly be put to the test when they travel to the Highmark Stadium for an AFC East showdown, and their third consecutive road game.

The Dolphins head out the 57/20 underdogs but still have an incredibly talented team including their star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who looked out of touch last weekend only gaining 219 yards, despite having been one of the best quarterbacks all season up until that match.

Head coach Mike McDaniel took full responsibility for the team’s losses and said he wants to get back into the five-game winning streak his side had amassed prior to the defeats. The Dolphins are currently 8-5 this season and sit just behind the Bills in the table.

The Buffalo Bills will be full of confidence heading into this game on a four game winning streak. They also currently head the AFC East table with a record of 10-3 this season, so it is no surprise that they kick off as the 20/69 favourites in front of home crowds.

Despite losing to Miami on the road earlier this season, this clash should be far easier for the Bills who are now facing a struggling Dolphins side with the home advantage on their side. Last week they bettered the New York Jets 20-12 and will look to repeat that performance.

This game will be critical for the AFC East standings as we approach the end of the season, and both sides will no doubt be looking to bring home a victory. Expect a relatively active game with both sides to score two touchdowns priced at EVS.
