NFL week 6 preview: Eagles to remain undefeated?

| BY News Team

The NFL returns with another weekend of tantalising match ups, which promise to deliver some major excitement among the best sides in the tournament.

The undefeated Philadelphia Eagles take on their bitter rivals in the Dallas Cowboys, while elsewhere the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Buffalo Bills.

We preview the best of the action below.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Buffalo Bills: High stakes clash at the top of the table

For our first match preview we head over to Arrowhead Stadium, where the Kansas City Chiefs welcome the Buffalo Bills. This marks the first time the Chiefs have ever been the underdogs at a home game while Patrick Mahomes has started for them as quarterback, with the odds of them achieving victory on gameday being 5/4, and the spread at -3 for Buffalo.

This fixture is actually a rematch of the wildcard divisional playoff from January, which the Chiefs won 42-36. Both teams currently hold a record of 4-1 so far this season and lead their respective tables.

Kansas City come into this game off the back of a one-point win over the Las Vegas Raiders, with tight end Travis Kelce successfully receiving four touchdown passes from Mahomes, leading The Chiefs to come back from a 17-0 deficit to win 30-29.

Buffalo Bills on the other hand steamrolled the Steelers to win 38-3, proving that they are in playoff form and ready to take the heat to Arrowhead Stadium. Their quarterback Josh Allen also threw for four touchdowns and threw 329 yards, despite barely playing in the fourth quarter.

Buffalo head into this match up as the 20/29 favourites, and their starting line-up will be curious given the comments of head coach Sean McDermott, who claimed that he held back a few players from last week’s game who were nearly back to top form.

Overall, this looks to be a blockbuster match up between two world-class teams, and it is expected to be a high scoring one too, with the total points odds being 10/11 over 54. The game is shaping up to be an unforgettable affair, and we highly suggest you don’t miss this one!

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys: Cowboys defence to turn the tide?

The Philadelphia Eagles are the only team yet to taste defeat, making their record 5-0 so far this season They don’t just have the record but the performance to match it, with both sides of the ball functioning well.

The Eagles are -5 in the spread and 20/51 favourites prior to the game at Lincoln Financial Field. Dan Quinn’s squad will by far be the toughest defence Philadelphia have faced so far though and will be formidable opponents despite Dak Prescott still being out of action.

The Cowboys head into this game following a crushing victory over the Los Angles Rams in what was arguably their biggest test yet, until now. They face their arch rivals in prime form, and are the 43/20 underdogs to clinch a victory and upset the undefeated Eagles.

Being the underdogs is clearly not something which holds the Cowboys back however, having won three of the four games which they have been the underdog in, leaving them 4-1 after five played. Their only defeat was in the opening game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, meaning that the side are now on a four-game winning streak and have conceded at most 19 points in one game.

This game will be closer than most are anticipating, however The Eagles clearly still hold the advantage in the books, which is no surprise given their status as the only undefeated team left in the NFL this season.
