Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans Prediction – Thursday Night Football Tips
NFL fans could be in for a treat on Thursday Night Football this week as the Buffalo Bills travel south to take on the Houston Texans.
With both teams in the shake-up to reach the postseason, it’s a hugely important clash in the context of the AFC but the Bills (7-3) have been installed as clear favourites to claim an important road win.
The Texans (5-5) have been inconsistent but Woody Marks has has stepped up to the plate in the absence of running back Joe Mixon and he is a supremely talented figure on the Houston offense. He’s a huge dual threat weapon for the Texans and expect Houston to lean heavily on him.
Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans Odds:
Punters can bet on the Houston Texans vs Buffalo Bills at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:
- Buffalo Bills – 4/11
- Houston Texans – 21/10
With 119 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in Houston’s victory over the Tennessee Titans, Marks showcased his talent at the running back position but notched a receiving score to really cement his position as a three-down star.
The Bills have always been blessed with one of the top defensive units in the National Football League but cracks have started to appear in recent weeks. If Marks gets rolling early on, you have to wonder if Buffalo will be able to stop him.
For the home side to stand any chance of success, they will need to keep the Bills offense off the field and the Houston running game will be key to that. Clock management is key in any NFL game but even more so when the opposing quarterback is Josh Allen.
If you look at the teams on paper, it’s a no brainer – the Bills should prove too strong. However, the tide seems to be turning in Houston and the Texans have won three of their last four regular season games. A win for the hosts will cement their status as dark horses.
