NFL Christmas Predictions & Betting Tips (2025)

NFL fans can tune in for not one, not two but THREE National Football League games over Christmas this year and our tipster has previewed the festive action.

The Dallas Cowboys travel to the capital to take on the Washington Commanders in the early game before the Minnesota Vikings welcome the Detroit Lions in an all-NFC North clash.

For those staying up late into the early hours on Boxing Day, the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos and the road team will be full of confidence against a depleted Chiefs side.

Here, I look at the best NFL bets for the Christmas triple header – browsing the William Hill NFL betting markets and hopefully I can find a winner or two for readers.

So let’s get straight down to business. Here are my predictions for the 2025 NFL Christmas matches, starting with a tasty divisional contest between two fierce NFC East rivals.

Washington Commanders v Dallas Cowboys

While you’d be hard pressed to suggest that these two offences are among the best in the National Football League, it could actually turn out to be a high-scoring game on account of some poor defensive play from both teams.

The Cowboys may be on the road but they are fancied to win this contest so punters may be tempted by the over team points line but I can see both teams putting up plenty of points. After all, Christmas is about gift giving and this could be a real festive treat.

Prediction: Over 52.5 points (21/20)

Minnesota Vikings v Detroit Lions

The Vikings are outsiders in the betting but Minnesota have actually won three on the spin while their opponents are on a two-game losing streak. Detroit are just about in the playoff hunt but they’d need plenty to go their way to feature in the postseason.

There could be plenty of change for both organisations in the offseason but for now, the focus remains on the here and now – starting with a Christmas clash. It’ll be interesting to see if the Vikings can extend their winning run or whether Detroit can keep their faint hopes alive.

Prediction: Vikings to win (21/10)

Kansas City Chiefs v Denver Broncos

Plagued by injuries at the quarterback position, the Chiefs are out of the playoff picture and the Broncos will hope to pile further misery on their AFC West rivals. While Denver are fairly ‘middle of the road’ in terms of offensive prowess, they boast a mean defensive unit.

And that means the Chiefs offensive line will be under pressure from start to finish. The situation at Arrowhead Stadium is bleak while the Broncos are likely to top the division – and the AFC number one seed is within reach. A Denver win looks likely, and a convincing one at that.

Prediction: Broncos by 14 points or more (EVS)
