World Series Betting Tips 2026: 11/2 Tampa Bay Rays Fancied To Spring MLB Finals Shock vs Brewers

| BY Sam Cox

The Milwaukee Brewers are the baseball betting favourites over the Tampa Bay Rays for the 2026 World Series.

It is the first World Series since 1980 to feature two teams chasing their first title. It’s also only the 15th time since 1969 that the teams with the best regular-season records in each league are in the Fall Classic.

World Series Winner Odds:

  • Milwaukee Brewers – 3/5
  • Tampa Bay Rays – 8/5

These Brewers won 103 games, a tally that was only five ahead of the Rays. Tampa Bay swept the New York Yankees before coming from 2-1 to beat the Cleveland Guardians, while the Milwaukee Brewers got the better of the San Diego Padres in a thrilling NLDS before sweeping the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers.

World Series Best Bets

  • Tampa Bay Rays to win 4-2 (11/2)
  • Tampa Bay Rays +1.5 (4/6)
  • Over 5.5 total games (8/15)

This series is surely going deep. There’s not a huge amount to choose between these teams, and it’s a little surprising that the Brewers are such a short price to win this series.

A best-of-seven series tests the depth of pitching staffs, and that’s where the Rays have the edge. Tampa Bay transformed Peralta’s year with some simple adjustments, giving them a legitimate second ace.

Milwaukee’s lineup was better than the Rays in the regular season, but it’s worth noting that Tampa Bay kept the Guardians to three or fewer runs in the final five games of the ALCS.

The 4/6 price on the Rays +1.5 is excellent value. Tampa Bay showed its resilience to fight back from 2-1 down in the last round, and a lack of length from their starting pitchers could become problematic for the Brewers.

Team Similarities

The Rays and Brewers carry a lot of similarities. These are two small-market winning machines, reliant on deep lineups and elite pitching development. Milwaukee has the standout starter in the series in Jacob Misiorowski, while the Rays may feel they have superior rotation depth, particularly after Freddy Peralta’s dominant ALCS MVP-winning performance.

The bullpens were both among the best in the majors during the regular season and have continued to impress throughout the playoffs. Managers Pat Murphy and Kevin Cash have been aggressive over the last few weeks to orchestrate favourable matchups with their relievers and have been proactive in using their premier arms in big spots.

Murphy has Trevor Megill, Aaron Ashby, and Abner Uribe supported by several other big arms. Cash’s relief corps is led by Cade Smith, accompanied by Erik Sabrowski, Hunter Gaddis, and Shawn Armstrong.

Junior Caminero is the superstar hitter across the two teams. Jackson Chourio is Milwaukee’s biggest name, but he’s had a quiet postseason to date. Milwaukee also has Jake Bauers and William Contreras as middle-of-the-order impact bats.

Decisive Players

Milwaukee is relying on Misiorowski giving them two strong outings. We’ve seen plenty of aces disappoint under the brightest lights in the Fall Classic before, and it’s hard to see how the Brewers win this series if the NL Cy Young favourite disappoints.

The Brewers will also be desperate to get more from Chourio at the plate. The left fielder has a .553 OPS in this postseason.

For Tampa Bay, the rotation is less dependent on one man. Instead, they’ll be looking at Drew Rasmussen and Peralta as both starters and potentially relievers later in the series. The Rays will be hoping for a bit more from Jonathan Aranda at the dish after posting a .676 OPS across the first two rounds.
