The Los Angeles Dodgers are heavy baseball betting favourites for Game 3 of the World Series on Monday night.

With the series tied at one win apiece, the Toronto Blue Jays must win at least one of the next three games in Los Angeles to take the series back to Toronto for Game 6.

Max Scherzer and Tyler Glasnow have been confirmed as the Game 3 starters. Scherzer had a strong outing in the NLCS, conceding only two earned runs in 5.2 innings. Glasnow has allowed one run across 11.2 innings as a starting pitcher in these playoffs after posting a 3.19 ERA in the regular season.

A fiercely competitive Scherzer relished the opportunity to pitch in a tight ALCS. Glasnow’s stuff has taken a step up in the postseason – he’s throwing hard and his breaking stuff has been particularly sharp.

Los Angeles’ offense hasn’t been exactly explosive during this postseason. They scored five runs in Game 2, but were becalmed by Kevin Gausman early in the game. Toronto’s lineup has been much more dynamic, despite their struggles against Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2.

World Series Game 3 Best Bet:

  • Best Bets: Each Team Over 3 Runs (12/5), Vladimir Guerrero Jr. To Hit a Home Run (14/5), Alejandro Kirk, Guerrero, & Freddie Freeman To Record a Hit (13/8)

First up, over three runs for each team is a wager on these two offenses to hit their respective grooves. Toronto has gone over this line in five of its last seven games. As good as Scherzer was in the ALCS, it’s hard to see him shutting down the Dodgers in the same way.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been far and away the best hitter in this postseason. He’s already cleared the fence six times in October. It’s safe to say he’s due, having not hit a dinger in his last three games.

Kirk has six hits in his last five games. Game 2 was the only one of those games that saw the Jays’ catcher held hitless. Freeman had an all-time great World Series in 2024 and had several impressive at-bats in Game 2. Guerrero has a .431 batting average in these playoffs, plus he’s riding a seven-game hitting streak.
