And then there were six. Myles Stephenson became the latest celebrity to get himself out of there after a commendable performance in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
In many ways it was unsurprising to see the Rak-Su singer eliminated as one of the quieter members of the camp, but also surprising that he outlasted some of the bigger names such as Ian Wright and James Haskell.
Ahead of the final episodes of the series, we assess how the markets have reacted to this week’s developments and who could be picking up the crown on Sunday.
Coronation Street star Whyment has won the nation’s hearts with his down-to-earth attitude and blossoming friendship with Caitlyn Jenner. His attempts at explaining pub golf to her in Thursday night’s episode fell on deaf ears and provided one of the funnier moments of the series. At 4/11, he’s now heavy favourite to be crowned King of the Jungle.
Only the most stonehearted amongst us would have failed to have been moved by Jossa’s raw reaction to her letter from home on Thursday night. She’s certainly made an impact on viewers in the last couple of weeks, so don’t be surprised to see her turn up on our screens everywhere after this. She’s currently 5/1 to win.
Kemp has perhaps not had as strong a week as last week and has seemed a little bit absent in recent episodes. It was heart-warming to see how much he wanted to retrieve Myles Stephenson’s letter from home for him and both their reactions following Kemp’s success was great to see. He’s a lovely bloke and is clearly liked by the public, so at 8/1 he could be good value. Seems a shoe-in for the final three.
Another who has benefitted from additional screen time this week and has certainly had her moments of late is Coyle. She’s an unlikely 16/1 to win at the moment, and looks to be in jeopardy in the next vote-off. It still seems an achievement for Coyle to have made it this far given who has fallen already.
We suggested Garraway may be a dark horse last week when she was at 25/1, and we stand it by it now as she continues to outlast more established names. She performed admirably during her Bushtucker trial on Thursday night and is just a very relatable person. As predicted, her personality has come out more now some of the more prominent celebrities have been booted out. She is not to be discounted at 18/1.
It may have surprised some people that Jenner was in the bottom two again on Thursday night, but it appears she may be holding on by the skin of her teeth for now. She hasn’t been the most exciting camp member but there’s something to be said for her get-up-and-go attitude to everything thrown at her – after all, she is 70 years old. She looks likely to be the next celebrity to make that famous bridge-walk exit, and is now a distant 33/1 to win.
