Chisora’s most viewed fight was against Vitali Klitschko in 2012, which had tens of millions, and by some estimates hundreds of millions of views. The fight took place in the Olympiahalle, Munich, Germany. Prior to the bout there was the usual taunting by Chisora, at points even slapping and spitting water in Klitschko’s face. The WBC heavyweight belt was on the line and the weight of the moment was not lost on the Brit.
Throughout the bout, Klitschko used his footwork and movement to keep the aggressive Chisora at bay, while still out landing the Brit. Chisora did manage to inflict damage on the Ukrainian, however, it was seemingly never enough to severely damage Klitschko and definitely not enough to win his favour on the judge’s scorecards.
Klitschko comfortably won the fight by unanimous decision, but most of the spectators gained respect for Chisora in the process as he did last the distance and outperform comparatively to Klitschko’s usual opponents, which sparked global interest in the rest of Chisora’s career and was arguably one of the moments which made him the famous boxer he is today.

Derek Chisora has faced many of the world’s top heavyweights of recent years, including Oleksandr Usyk, Joseph Parker, Dillian Whyte and of course Tyson Fury.
Chisora has tended to come up short in these big matchups but has always gained plaudits for his willingness to go toe-to-toe with the best. He has twice failed to get the better of current world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, but both times he has made his opponent work hard for the win.
On their first meeting at Wembley Arena in 2011, the judge’s scorecards were needed to separate the duo. During their last meeting, in 2015, Chisora looked as though he might take the Gypsy King the distance once again, only for the strength of Fury’s attack to force Del Boy to retire in the 10th round.
