Boxing: Every world champion from heavyweight to minimumweight

| BY News Team

When it comes to world titles there are many belts scattered across the globe, but only four organisations can claim to possess pure world championship status titles to their names: the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO.

Some of the best fighters across the last 30 to 40 years are among today’s world champions, not least the superstar in Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, arguably the biggest draw in boxing at this moment in time.

His two fights with Gennady Golovkin will go down in history as involving two of the best middleweight boxers in a generation fighting to become one of the pound-for-pound greats.

And who could forget Vasyl Lomachenko, in some eyes the most technically gifted boxer among all weight classes since the turn of the century, who went on to win a world title in just his third professional fight.

In just 11 professional bouts, the Ukrainian managed to become a three-weight world champion – and he’s far from finished.

It’s easy to confuse the current world champions across the globe, with fresh boxing organisations popping up at every turn, so we have broken down a list of the identifiable world champions by each of the 17 different weight classes and 68 world titles.
