Daily Telegraph boxing correspondent Gareth A. Davies caught up with Tyson Fury a week before his showboating victory over Tom Schwarz in Las Vegas and found the champion full of praise for heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua. 

Discussing the former four-belt world champion, who is trading at odds of 3/10 to avenge his shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr before the end of the year, Fury dubbed AJ ‘a winner in life’.

The Gypsy King’s thoughts on AJ, post defeat to Ruiz, came as part of a wide-ranging discussion over lunch inside his Las Vegas base ahead of that victory over Schwarz, in which he bamboozled and brutalised his adversary in equal measure.
