Luke Littler 2/9 to lose in novelty darts event
Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler is 2/9 to lose, and 3/1 to go unbeaten in special £501,000 ‘Beat Luke Littler’ competition on Friday night.
Luke Littler is 2/9 to be beaten by any of his 20 challengers in the ‘Beat Luke Littler’ event in Wolverhampton, according to William Hill.
Littler is 3/1 to go unbeaten through all 20 legs, with Fallon Sherrock and two-time World Youth Champion Mitchell Lawrie among the players he’ll face.
If ‘The Nuke’ loses a single leg, his opponent wins £501,000 and the contest ends there.
Will any of the contestants beat Luke Littler?
William Hill‘s Darts Ambassador, Wayne Mardle, said: “One leg of 501, possibly throwing second, I’d be very surprised if he won all 20 games. In fact, I’d be amazed. Some of the challengers are accomplished players.”
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “At 2/9, we make it very likely that one of Luke Littler’s 20 challengers lands a leg on the World No. 1, but he’s been the man to beat for two years now, and at 3/1 to go unbeaten, we’re by no means writing him off.
“Each challenger will be gunning for that cash prize, and Fallon Sherrock and Mitchell Lawrie will certainly fancy their chances, but with £501,000 on offer for a single leg, we’re expecting a few nerves on the oche.”
