Premier League Darts: Night 11 Preview

The Premier League Darts continues to hot up ahead of Night 11 where the competition takes its annual trip to the Netherlands and the Rotterdam Ahoy.
The tournament returns to Rotterdam following the dramatic night 10 in Manchester in which local lad Nathan Aspinall claimed an emotional win to secure some vital points in pursuit of a playoff place.

Tournament Format
The Premier League Darts operates on a league system, with players earning points based on their performance each night. The top four players at the end of the league phase will advance to the playoffs, culminating in the final at The O2 arena in London on May 29.
Luke Littler currently tops the table on 28 points having won four of the 10 nights so far, with Luke Humphries closest to him on 23 points.
There looks to be a mad few weeks ahead of us as Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall and Michael van Gerwen all sit shoulder-to-shoulder on 15 points.
Rob Cross (12 points), Chris Dobey (7 points) and Stephen Bunting (5 points) are all still in the running to make the playoffs, but have a tall order to fulfil to get there.
Chris Dobey vs. Luke Humphries
The opening clash of the night sees Chris “Hollywood” Dobey take on world number one, Luke Humphries. At odds of 1/3, it’s hard to look past “Cool Hand” Luke given his hot run of form in the tournament.
Dobey has won just four games in the 10 nights so far, with Humphries well up on that number on 14, and we’d expect this to be a pretty comfortable win for the world number one.
If you’re looking for some value, Luke Humphries to win the match, score the highest match checkout and get the most 180s at 10/3 looks appealing.
Gerwyn Price vs. Nathan Aspinall
The match-up between Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall looks a tough one to call. After winning in Manchester last time, Aspinall will be on cloud nine and if he can carry that momentum forward, the 11/10 about him looks a decent price.
That said, Price has come out on top eight times from the last 10 head-to-head meetings between the two, hence his shorter price of 8/11. We expect the game to be closely fought and the tightest winning margin from all four clashes.
Should you fancy Aspinall to continue his winning streak, the 7/1 about him to win the match and each player to score at least one checkout over 99 looks a nice bet.
Stephen Bunting vs. Michael van Gerwen
Local boy Michael van Gerwen will be looking to bounce back from a poor run this tournament, failing to win any of the 10 nights of action so far. Back in front of his native fans, we could see the seven-time Premier League winner fly back into action on home soil against Stephen Bunting, and his odds of 8/11 suggest he’s set to do so.
Bunting did win on Night Nine, however, and can’t be counted out as the marginal outsider at 11/10. Bunting has plenty of fans who were thrilled with that win, none more so than Wayne Mardle, who has picked him to win Night 11 altogether which we’ve priced at 12/1.
That said, we think the best bet in this match-up is for MVG to win and each player to achieve at least one checkout over 99 at 9/2.
Luke Littler vs. Rob Cross
Understandably, the tournament leader Luke Littler is the shortest of the bunch at 1/4 to succeed against Rob Cross, who is all the way out at 3/1.
Littler is likely to be on song as he bids to make history as the only player ever to achieve five nightly wins in one campaign. It’s unlikely that the favourite is overturned in this match-up so Luke Littler to win and to achieve over 6.5 180s looks the play at 4/1.
