The 2018/19 Premier League fixtures were announced today and last season’s top two Manchester City and Manchester United look to have been afforded the games to get off to a flyer in the new campaign.
City are 4/6 favourites in the Premier League outright betting, with Liverpool next in the market at 4/1 and United 11/2 to wrest back the title from the team Sir Alex Ferguson famously described as their ‘noisy neighbours’.
Next come Chelsea at 10/1, Tottenham (11/1) and Arsenal (20/1).
Man City 2018/19 Premier League fixtures
Man City’s first seven Premier League fixtures for 2018/19 kick off with Arsenal (A), Huddersfield (H), Wolves (A), Newcastle (H), Fulham (H), Cardiff (A), Brighton (H).
Uniquely among their ‘big six’ rivals, Pep Guardiola’s outfit have managed to swerve the Red Devils, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea, or each of the other members of last season’s top five, during August and September.
Man Utd 2018/19 Premier League fixtures
Man Utd have arguably faired next best of 2017/18’s leading quintet, with Leicester (H), Brighton (A), Tottenham (H), Burnley (A), Watford (A), Wolves (H) and West Ham (A) to play over the first months.
Unlike the Manchester clubs, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal must all play at least two teams that finished last season inside the top-six during the opening games of the upcoming campaign.
