2025/26 European Competitions: Betting Odds for Premier League Teams
The Premier League has nine representatives in European Competitions for the 2025/26 season.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle will all play in the Champions League as a result of finishing in the top five in the Premier League last season, joined by Tottenham Hotspur who, despite finishing 17th, won the Europa League to gain their spot.
Aston Villa’s sixth-place finish saw them gain entry to this season’s Europa League, where they will be joined, somewhat controversially, by Nottingham Forest. Crystal Palace had originally qualified after winning the FA Cup, but were since deemed to have breached UEFA’s multi-club ownership regulations, and therefore they were demoted to the Conference League, taking Forest’s place in the third-tier competition.
Here we take a look at all nine teams’ chances of bringing European silverware to England this season.

Champions League
Liverpool 11/2
Premier League champions Liverpool are favourites to win the Champions League ahead of the first round of League Phase fixtures. Despite losing in the Round of 16 to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain last season, the Reds are half a point shorter than the Parisians who are joint at 6/1 with Barcelona.
Liverpool’s big-spending summer clearly hasn’t gone unnoticed, with the acquisitions of Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong making Arne Slot’s side look a formidable force. Slot will be hoping to fill his personal trophy cabinet as soon as possible and that could see the Champions League become his main focus this season.
Arsenal 7/1
Arsenal are the shortest price of those teams to have never won the competition, with their odds of 7/1 making them the Premier League’s second-best hope of lifting the trophy.
Mikel Arteta’s side impressed in the quarter-final stages with their 5-1 thrashing of Real Madrid over two legs, but they were another side unfortunate enough to face PSG in the knockouts, losing to the Parisians at the semi-final stage. With Viktor Gyökeres and Noni Madueke adding more firepower in the final third, they could be set to go well again this year.
Manchester City 8/1
Manchester City are the last English side to win the Champions League, with their first and only triumph coming in 2023. Last season, the new format ultimately proved too much for them as they crashed out in the play-offs after unfortunately drawing Real Madrid.
Three-time Champions League-winning manager Pep Guardiola will want to put things right this season and he’s reinforced his side over the summer to do so. If he can get City back to anything like that treble-winning side, they’ll be a force to be reckoned with this season.
Chelsea 12/1
Back in the Champions League after two seasons out, Chelsea will be hoping to return to the competition with a bang. Fresh off winning the Conference League and Club World Cup last season, it wouldn’t be unlike the Blues to add another major trophy to their collection.
With two Champions Leagues, two Europa Leagues, a Conference League and two Super Cups to their name, it would take a brave person to rule out another European trophy heading to West London this season at odds of 12/1. New striker Joao Pedro has hit the ground running, while Moises Caicedo and Cole Palmer are world class operators in the middle of the park, making Chelsea formidable contenders and potentially good value.
Spurs 28/1
The first of the real outsiders of the six Premier League sides is last season’s Europa League winners, Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs beat fellow English side Manchester United in the final to end their long wait for a trophy.
A switch of manager over the summer and a loosening of the purse strings to secure Xavi Simons has restored some faith and optimism among the Spurs fanbase and they’ll be hoping for at least a run to the knockout stages this time around.
Newcastle 33/1
Newcastle are getting their second taste of Champions League football in three years after they secured the fifth qualifying spot last season. Eddie Howe’s side made a blockbuster return to the competition in the 2023/24 season, but failed to progress from a tough group featuring Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan.
They head into this season’s edition with no Alexander Isak, but still with a world class midfield, exciting attack and solid defence. With a thin squad and focus largely on the Premier League, it’ll be a tough ask for the Toon to go one better and progress to the knockouts this season.

Europa League
Aston Villa 6/1
The Premier League has the favourite in the Europa League as well, with Aston Villa leading the outright betting at 6/1. Unai Emery’s side have hardly made a flying start in the Premier League, but his European pedigree gives Villa fans hope of picking up the trophy this season.
Emery has won the Europa League four times with two different clubs and will be hoping to add Villa to that tally. Retaining World Cup winner Emi Martinez will be huge for the club as they will need to lean on his experience should they make it to the latter stages. With some seriously talented players and the right manager for the competition, Villa are worth favourites this year.
Nottingham Forest 10/1
Nottingham Forest are becoming a bit of pantomime villain in the Europa League after gaining their place at the expense of Crystal Palace, but their fans won’t mind that and will believe their side can deliver the club’s first major trophy since 1990.
At 10/1, they’re currently fourth in the outright betting behind Villa, Roma and Real Betis. They have held on to most of their squad from last season’s success story and replaced Anthony Elanga with exciting attackers in Omari Hutchinson and Dan Ndoye. Now under the stewardship of last season’s Europa League winner Ange Postecoglou, who would count him out of going back-to-back?
Conference League
Crystal Palace 9/2
Palace fans will be disappointed to be in Europe’s third-tier competition this season after their FA Cup triumph, but will be keen to keep the trophies coming, nonetheless. They added a Community Shield at the start of this season, meaning they’ve beaten Manchester City and Liverpool to win their last two pieces of silverware… Not bad form.
Eberechi Eze was a marquee departure, but in keeping hold of Marc Guehi, Adam Wharton and Jean-Philippe Mateta they have maintained the spine of their team. Yeremy Pino is an exciting attacking addition, but questions have to be asked about their squad depth given they signed just five players this summer, one of which was a backup goalkeeper. However, if Oliver Glasner can keep his squad fresh and get the balance right, they could be a formidable side in the Conference League.
