One William Hill customer landed a £10 9-fold accumulator this weekend, returning £44,210.99.

The winning accumulator included nine correct result selections across Saturday’s League Two fixtures.

Cheltenham, Grimsby, Gillingham, Barnet, Chesterfield and Port Vale all put themselves ahead in good time and secured their victories to land six of the nine selections.

Newport vs Fleetwood and Rotherham vs Salford were two of the three draws predicted, with both games level for the majority of the final 30 minutes.

The accumulator looked to be fading with Colchester 1-0 up against Crewe, but Josh Stephenson’s 93rd-minute equaliser landed the ninth and final correct result, seeing the customer turn their £10 stake into £42,210.99, with William Hill’s Acca Boost promotion adding a further £2k to the winnings, taking the total to £44,210.99.

 Winning Betslip:

  • Crawley vs Cheltenham – Cheltenham
  • Grimsby vs Bristol Rovers – Grimsby
  • Barnet vs Accrington – Barnet
  • Colchester vs Crewe – Draw
  • Gillingham vs Tranmere – Gillingham
  • Newport vs Fleetwood – Draw
  • Oldham vs Chesterfield – Oldham
  • Port Vale vs Exeter City – Port Vale
  • Rotherham vs Salford – Draw

Total stake: £10

Total returns: £44,210.99 (including £2,000 Acca Boost)

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “We thought we were on course to avoid a big payout when Colchester v Crewe went into injury time with the hosts 1-0 up, but Josh Stephenson’s late equaliser has stung us for the best part of £50k!

“In one of the most impressive accumulators we’ve seen in the early weeks of the season, one of our customers managed to predict nine correct results in League Two this weekend.

“Cheltenham, Grimsby, Gillingham, Barnet, Chesterfield and Port Vale all did their part by winning their games, with three draws also landing.

“Injury time in the Colchester v Crewe match must have been nail-biting for our customer, but Stephenson’s late strike hitting the back of the net brought with it a massive payout of £44,210.99 for our customer.”
