Alisson’s odds of joining Liverpool by the end of the summer transfer window continue to shorten after a day which saw claims that a deal was close.
The Brazilian No 1’s odds of signing for The Reds stood at 4/1 a week ago but a major report from Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio coincided with them being slashed to 1/8.

Liverpool had a £53m bid with £6m in add-ons bid rejected by the Serie A club on Monday before their sporting director Michael Edwards upped the bid to a now accepted amount of £66m, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The fee reportedly agreed is a world record for a goalkeeper and dwarfs the amount Manchester City paid (£35m) for the previous most expensive keeper – fellow Brazilian Ederson Moares.
A host of other clubs including Chelsea and Real Madrid are thought to be interested too.
Chelsea’s odds of signing the Brazilian goalkeeper are 8/1, whilst his odds of staying Roma stand at 9/2 having been 5/2 the morning the news broke from Di Marzio.
However, following several reports that stated Liverpool had nipped in ahead of everybody else, The Reds’ odds of stabling the 26-year old have continued to shorten.
Liverpool are so confident to sign #Alisson and are preparing medicals for him. The player also had a call with Jurgen Klopp some day ago; and he’d be happy to join Liverpool. At the moment… Chelsea have not made a new bid for Alisson. 🔴 #LFC #CFC #transfers

Were Becker to arrive he would likely replace Lorius Karius as Liverpool’s No 1. Jurgen Klopp has had issues in the goalkeeping department for several years with neither Simon Mignolet, nor Karius convincing the coach that they were adequate long-term solutions.
Alisson transfer odds – William Hill specials
The William Hill trading team are now offering Alisson Becker special betting markets for the upcoming season.
Contrary to popular opinion, Klopp’s defence managed to keep 17 clean sheets in the Premier League last season. The current betting on Alisson to go one or two further and keep 18 or 19 clean sheets for Liverpool is 5/2.
The traders are also offering betting duels with Manchester City’s Ederson – who Alisson pipped to become Brazil’s first choice goalkeeper at the World Cup.
Ederson to be selected in the PFA team of the Year is our betting prediction at 7/4 whilst Alisson’s odds stand 5/2.
