Arsenal Champions League Odds: Gunners Set For European Glory?

Arsenal are now as short as 3/1 with William Hill to win the Champions League for the first time in the club’s illustrious history.
Declan Rice notched a brace before Mikel Merino added a third to give the Gunners a 3-0 lead over Real Madrid ahead of next week’s return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
With the Premier League title looking out of sight, focus for Arsenal is now entirely on winning the Champions League and Mikel Arteta’s side have one foot in the semi-finals after Tuesday night’s demolition job.
You can never rule Real Madrid out and Los Blancos are priced at 13/2 to advance to the next round, though it will take a leap of faith for punters to back the La Liga giants.
Spanish rivals Barcelona remain the 5/2 outright football betting favourites to win this year’s competition while Paris Saint-Germain (11/4) are also fancied to lift the trophy.
Arsenal reached the 2005/06 Champions League final but lost on that occasion and the Gunners will be hoping to go one better nearly two decades on from that defeat.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “A thrilling night of Champions League action at the Emirates has rocked the outright market, with Real Madrid flying out from 7/2 to 20/1.
“Conversely, Arsenal’s triumph in the first leg has seen them shorten from 13/2 into 3/1, with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain still ahead of Mikel Arteta’s men in our market.”
