World Cup 2026

Arsenal came agonisingly close last season yet again in their Premier League, losing out to Manchester City and Pep Guardiola by just two points, but how are their chances this year?

We take a look at their chances in the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and of course the most prestigious competition in Europe, the UEFA Champions League.

Premier League – 7/4

Despite coming second in the Premier League for the second year running, a feat which Arsenal fans would have dreamed about just five years ago, it has spelled disappointment for The Gunners’ faithful. The reason being that Mikel Arteta has proven himself as one of the League’s top managers and has an outstanding group of players who have been consistent across the past two campaigns but haven’t quite had the bottle to push it all the way over the line in the same way Pep and Man City have.

That said, the third time’s a charm. At 7/4, Arsenal are second in the market to taste victory in England’s top flight for the first time since the infamous ‘Invincibles’ season of 2003-04. Man City aren’t even that far off as 11/10 favourites, with Liverpool a way behind in third at 15/2.

With no major outgoings and a couple of transfers in, Arsenal could find themselves in pretty good stead come the start of the season with three relatively routine opening games against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Aston Villa and Brighton.

Champions League – 8/1

Even though the Gunners managed to top Group B in their European campaign last season with 13 points, their European charge grounded to a halt in the quarter-finals when Bayern Munich edged past them in the second leg to take a 3-2 aggregate victory.

That was however their first appearance in the competition since the 2016/17 season and, with their manager at the top of his game and a team worthy of winning trophies, their 8/1 price tag to go all the way this season and lift the Champions League trophy could provide some value. They sit third in the market behind Man City (11/4) and Real Madrid (3/1).

FA Cup – 6/1

The FA Cup was Arsenal’s first trophy with Mikel Arteta at the helm, they have since failed to recreate the magic in the competition to push them all the way. Last year, Arsenal were knocked out by Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, who proceeded to the fourth round after a 2-0 win.

They are however fancied above The Reds in the market at 6/1 and unsurprisingly, they sit behind City at 3/1. There’s no doubt that Arteta will want to win this one again, with the club now with 14 FA trophies to its name, and as previously mentioned, should the squad learn from their mistakes in the seasons gone by, they are more than capable of sweeping up some silverware.

English League Cup – 6/1

Arsenal last won the League Cup back in 1992-93. Last season, they failed to convert against West Ham United losing 3-1 at the London Stadium, much to Declan Rice’s dismay. Success in any competition is important, and those that play across all four tend to struggle with squad depth but Arsenal certainly have as good as chance as any at second in the market (6/1).

They find themselves sandwiched (yet again) by Manchester City (7/2) and Liverpool (15/2) in the betting.
