Arsenal will host Everton at the Emirates on Sunday at 16:00 GMT, with the Toffees looking to clinch their second win of the season. Meanwhile, Unai Emery’s men will be looking to continue their winning streak, with the game being aired on Sky Sports Main Event.
Arsenal vs Everton: predictions and odds
The Gunners’ odds are a solid 47/100 in the betting to grab all three points in this match-up with Everton, whilst Marco Silva’s side are trading at 5/1 for the win. A sharing of the spoils of war is forecast at 15/4.
Hot record signing Richarlison is set to return for Everton after serving his three match ban and he is our pick to get on the scoresheet anytime with his odds projected at a 27/10 tip in our Arsenal vs Everton predictions.
For Arsenal, head coach Emery will hope to make it four wins on the bounce after suffering defeats in his opening two games. Edgy wins against Newcastle and Cardiff were preceded by a victory over West Ham cooling a tense atmosphere around a post-Wenger Emirates. We’ve tipped them to raise their game this Saturday.
Everton meanwhile succumbed to a disappointing loss at home to bottom-of-the-league dwellers West Ham. Crucially though, they have failed to win since the opening day of the season and they are not to our fancy in the Arsenal vs Everton predictions.
Head-to-head record (most recent first): Arsenal 5-1 Everton, Everton 2-5 Arsenal, Arsenal 3-1 Everton, Everton 2-1 Arsenal, Everton 0-2 Arsenal.
Arsenal vs Everton betting tips: Predictions, best bets, scorer
Predicted score: Richarlison, first goalscorer betting at 10/1.
One or two eyebrows were raised when Everton completed the £50m signing of Richarlison in the summer. Marco Silva was keen to bring the player he had signed the previous year for Watford to Goodison Park whatever the cost.
The Brazilian started the season with aplomb, scoring three goals in his first three games before a rash red card sent him packing. Everton struggled in his absence and his timely return comes as they chase their second win of the season.
A fast, tricky forward, Richarlison played up front for Brazil during the international break, scoring twice against El Salvador. It is not yet clear if he will occupy a similar center forward role for Everton when he returns.
We’ve tipped him to open the scoring in our Arsenal vs Everton predictions with his odds trading at 10/1.
Predicted scorer: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score 2 or more betting at a 16/5 pick.
Aubameyang occupied an unfamiliar left-wing role against Newcastle, recording two shots on target and coming off after 69 minutes.
Usually deployed as a striker, Emery appears to be experimenting with both him and Alexandre Lacazette in the side. At home though, the Gabonese international should find himself closer to goal and confident of building on the solitary goal he has so far this campaign.
A punt on Aubameyang scoring two or more goals at 16/5 is a sound projection. Given the forward’s prolific record in the past two years – he has scored over 30 goals a season for three consecutive years now – it is only a matter of time before he’s back amongst the goals.
This might be contradictory to our first projection tip but at these odds, this bet is definitely worth your consideration.
Unai Emery prides himself on a resilient defence but has been unable to find the structure and system to compliment his back-line – yet. An injury to Laurent Koscielny and the easing in of new goalkeeper Bernd Leno means Arsenal have been unable to field their best team and consequently unable to keep a clean sheet so far this season.
Emery’s Paris Saint-Germain side conceded the fewest goals in the league during his time in France and our betting tip is Arsenal to keep their first clean sheet of the season against the Toffee’s as part of our Arsenal vs Everton predictions.
