Barcelona’s title defence continues on Saturday night as the champions put their perfect start on the line against a Racing Santander side enjoying life back in La Liga but facing a huge test here.

Barcelona have made a flawless start to their title defence, winning five from five as they chase a third straight La Liga crown — something they haven’t managed since Pep Guardiola’s side achieved it back in 2011.
Hansi Flick’s men should be confident of extending that run, especially given their attacking output. Barça have scored at least four goals in each of their last four matches in all competitions and in five of their last six overall.
They beat Racing Santander 2–0 in the Copa del Rey in January, and although this is the first league meeting since 2012, Barcelona are unbeaten in 18 straight games in this fixture, winning 15 of them.

Racing Santander have returned to La Liga in encouraging form, picking up seven points from a possible fifteen to sit tenth ahead of their trip to face the league leaders.
Their primary aim this season is survival, and while they’ve made a positive start, this is the kind of fixture where damage limitation becomes the priority. History doesn’t help them either — Racing haven’t won away at Barcelona since 1983, and they’ve struggled to contain Barça’s attacking depth in recent meetings.
It’s difficult to make a convincing case for Racing here, but punters who fancy a major upset can back the visitors at 22/1 with the leading bookmaker.
