The final game of the Premier League weekend sees two former champions go toe-to-toe at Old Trafford.

However, neither Man Utd or Liverpool have won this season, with the hosts sitting bottom of the table after successive defeats under Erik ten Hag.

Salah to score two or more

Mohamed Salah loves playing against Man Utd. The Liverpool forward has flourished against the Red Devils, particularly at Old Trafford.

The Egypt international has netted eight goals in the last four meetings between the sides in all competitions, with six of those coming at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’.

Last time Liverpool travelled down the M62 in the league, Salah grabbed a hat-trick to take him to nine goals against United. Another prolific night in front of goal would see him become the first Reds’ players to reach double figures against their fierce rivals.

Over 7.5 corners in the match

Corners continue to rack up in the 2022/23 Premier League season with Man Utd conceding eight in their defeat at Brentford last Saturday. Ben Mee scored from one of those, hinting at a weakness Liverpool will be keen to exploit.

Liverpool have allowed pressure on their goal too, though, with Fulham having four corners at Craven Cottage and Crystal Palace getting two in their second match.

With both teams averaging four corners per game so far, and United averaging five against across the two matches, it could be worthwhile adding it in.

In their opening two games, neither side has looked particularly strong defensively and they are yet to record a clean sheet.

United conceded four goals in 25 minutes against Brentford last weekend, with David de Gea at fault for the first two with a terrible error and a poor pass out of defence.

Liverpool have fallen behind in both of their games. Aleksandar Mitrovic netted twice against them in the opener with Fulham, while Wilfried Zaha showed the Reds’ defence frailties at Anfield on Monday.

With the sides struggling to keep their opponents at bay, both teams to score looks like a solid addition to the bet.

Maguire to be booked

It’s been a start to forget for Man Utd and their captain Harry Maguire. The club sit bottom of the table with no points and a -5 goal difference.

Maguire has come in for plenty of criticism in those two games and has been booked in both clashes.

With Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and, potentially, Roberto Firmino running at him on Monday, things might get worse before they get better for the England defender.
