UEFA Champions League 2025/2026 – To Reach The Final
The UEFA Champions League is back for the 71st edition of the Europe’s most prestigious club football competition, with Paris Saint-Germain looking to defend their crown.
@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this UEFA Champions League campaign..
The last UEFA Champions League campaign was the first in it’s new format and despite much debate about how it would fare against the traditional format, we witnessed plenty of drama with some of the biggest games in club football throughout the competition.

Thirty-six teams make up the Champions League group phase, each team will play eight games in the group stage over the next five months, with the top eight sides progressing through into the round of 16, teams in 9th-24th will face a play-off fixture to advance in the competition. Whilst those that finish outside of the top twenty-four will face an early exit for the biggest club tournament in European football.
It’s reported that the UEFA Champions League Finalists will secure themselves at least an additional £15.9million in prize money, with the winners reportedly set to pick up £21.5million.
Now, let’s take a closer look at some UEFA Champions League Finalists odds and predictions:
*All odds subject to change – prices correct at the time of writing*
Liverpool – 11/4
- Winners of this competition on six occasions (1977, 1978, 1981, 1984, 2005 and 2019), Liverpool enter this campaign as the favourites to reach the UCL final at 11/4, the Reds have also finished as runners-up on four occasions. Having finished top of the UCL group stage last season after losing just one of their eight games, Liverpool will be looking to progress much further this year after.
Barcelona – 11/4
- Barcelona are looking to pick up their sixth UEFA Champions League trophy this season and enter the tournament as one of the favourites given their debut season under Hansi Flick, the European giants have also finished runners-up three times before, with defeats in the final coming in 1961, 1986 and 1994. Barcelona are my pick to reach the UEFA Champions League final this season.
Paris Saint-Germain – 3/1
- Paris Saint-Germain finally got over the line picking up their first ever UEFA Champions League trophy in their history and they did it in style, beating Inter Milan 5-0 at the Allianz Arena in Germany. The French side are amongst the favourites for more European glory especially after reaching the Club World Cup final in the summer, they should go deep in this campaign and i’m backing them to also make the final two.
Arsenal – 10/3
- Arsenal are yet to win the UEFA Champions League but there’s feeling within the fanbase that they are getting closer under Mikel Arteta. The Gunners remain one of the favourites to reach this European final but i think they’ll struggle to balance this with the Premier League title battle and I expect them to bow out earlier than the final during this particular campaign.
Real Madrid – 4/1
- Real Madrid will always be amongst the favourites in the UEFA Champions League simply down to their history in this competition, no other side has even come close to reaching the numbers of Los Blancos, with fifteen European trophies in their cabinet. Xabi Alonso is the man in charge and the club still feels like it’s going through a slight transition, their 4-0 defeat to PSG in the Club World Cup during the summer doesn’t fill me with confidence of them reaching the final here.
Manchester City – 9/2
- Winners of this competition for the first time back in 2023, Manchester City will be hoping for a much better campaign this time around after failing to make it out of the play-off stage last season. Pep Guardiola’s side have already shown inconsistency during this new domestic season and it’ll take a lot for them to reach the final, although getting into the latter stages wouldn’t surprise me.
Best Of The Rest:
- Bayern Munich – 11/2
- Chelsea – 13/2
- Inter Milan – 10/1
- Napoli – 11/1
- Tottenham – 12/1
- Atletico Madrid – 12/1
- Newcastle – 16/1
- Juventus – 18/1
