Now, let’s take a closer look at some betting angles for Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League fixture:
Barcelona v Inter Milan – Wednesday, 8pm
- This is Barcelona’s first UEFA Champions League semi-final since their 2018/2019 campaign, where they came up short against Liverpool. Whilst this isn’t the first semi-final between these two, with Inter progressing back in 2010.
- Having already won the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey, Barca remain on course to secure the quadruple which really is unheard of but they believe, every player in this Barcelona side believe they can get the better of anyone, which Lamine Yamal suggested after their victory against Real Madrid on Saturday evening.
- It’s no surprise the confidence is flowing within the Barca camp, Hansi Flick’s side have lost just one of their last twenty-eight outings in all competitions, whilst they’ve not lost on home soil since December.
——————————– - Inter Milan have hit a poor run of form at possibly the worst time, Simone Inzaghi’s side are now winless in their last four outings which included a Coppa Italia defeat to rivals AC Milan and then a 1-0 loss to AS Roma on Sunday, which has seen them drop to second and three points behind Napoli in Serie A.
- However, Inter have been impressive on the road during this UCL campaign, they’ve lost just one of their six away games so far, whilst conceding just two goals in the process.
- This is an intriguing encounter given statistically it’s the UCL’s best attacking side against the best defensive side, with four of the last five meetings between these two footballing giants has seen both teams score on the night.
