Leeds United are two points adrift of Sheffield United at the top of the Championship table but Daniel Farke’s men remain well fancied to clinch the title en route to securing promotion to the Premier League.

According to William Hill, Leeds are being given a 93% chance of achieving their ultimate aim of reaching England’s top flight this season, with sports betting odds of 1/14 to go up – either via automatic promotion or via the playoffs.

However, Leeds have a poor record when it comes to the Championship play-offs and therefore, the Elland Road faithful will be hoping that they can clinch automatic promotion in the coming weeks.

With Farke’s side as short as 4/5 to lift the title, Leeds are still well fancied to climb above the Blades while fending off Burnley – who are currently level on points with seven league matches remaining.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Daniel Farke may be 100% sure that Leeds will earn promotion this season, but our odds of 1/14 actually give them only a 93.3% chance of going up!

“The Elland Road faithful won’t need reminding that Leeds have never won the play-offs, so they’ll be hoping to make good on their 1/6 odds to finish in the top two.

“Leeds are 4/5 to repeat their 2019/20 triumph and top the Championship table.”

It’ll be interesting to see how Leeds fare in the final weeks of the campaign. The pressure is well and truly on but Farke’s side have the quality to prevail, it’ll just come down to mindset now.
