Chelsea will kick start match-day nine by facing Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. The return of the ‘Special One’ will be an incentive for both teams to win: United to keep their manager at the helm after recent poor form, and Chelsea to continue their unbeaten start to the season.
Chelsea vs Man United: Odds and predictions
The men in blue are 8/11 favourites in our betting tips with the Red Devils trading at 19/5, and a potential draw on the cards wagering at 11/4.
In comparison to United’s performances, the football at Stamford Bridge under Mauricio Sarri has been much more free-flowing. Key to these attacking displays has been Olivier Giroud, Eden Hazard’s sparring partner.
No player has provided more Premier League assists this season than Giroud, making him the perfect provider for the Belgian.
The two have linked up well to score and create chances in the attacking third, and the first of our Chelsea vs Man United predictions pick the former man to score, with odds projected at a 4/1 pick.

Yet, despite United’s recent struggles, they still possess the means to contain and nullify Chelsea’s preferred style of play: Sarri-ball.
Players like Paul Pogba and Juan Mata will have to pull the strings in midfield and create space for players in more advanced positions, chiefly Marcus Rashford.
Rashford has struggled for goals in recent games, but his hold-up play and striking ability should not be underestimated, especially after his complete attacking performance in international colours against Spain on Monday evening.
Our betting tipsters forecast the Englishman to score again this Saturday with a projection of 9/1.

Chelsea vs Man United predictions: score, best bet, scorer tips
Predicted score: Chelsea to win 2-1, odds projected @ 7/1
Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho has lost four of his last five away matches in all competitions against sides he’s formerly managed, including all three at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea as Man Utd manager.
The first match betting tip of our Chelsea vs Man United predictions builds on this by forecasting that the ‘Special One’ will lose upon his return to the Bridge by two goals to one.
Given that Chelsea will look to remain unbeaten and possess the grounds to do so, while United may be able to nullify the Chelsea counter for a short period, Sarri’s men will have too much firepower to be effectively contained.
Odds of 7/1 could be the final nail in Mourinho’s coffin with a defeat against one of the ‘big six’ side our pick for Saturday’s game coming right after their impressive comeback against Newcastle.
Best bet: Over 2.5 goals, tipped @ 17/20
Manchester United have lost three of their last six Premier League away games, winning two and drawing one.
But that does not mean that there aren’t goals in this United side.
With a strong projection of over 2.5 goals being scored, the Red Devils could hit Chelsea on the counter through Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez.
If effectively implemented, this could lead to a potential draw on the cards for the away side.
But all the pre-match predictions suggest that the odds are not in Mourinho’s favour.
Predicted scorer: Hazard to score first, betting @ 4/1
If there is one man that will make it onto the score-sheet this Saturday then it can only be Eden Hazard.
As well as being the highest scorer in the Premier League this season with seven goals, Hazard is the first player to record 10 goal involvements in the competition this season (7 goals, 3 assists).
The Belgian leads the goal-scoring charge in our Chelsea vs Man United predictions, and his pace and skill on the counter could undo United’s defence.
