The FIFA Club World Cup is here, with a total of 32 teams competing to win the trophy and almost £100 million in prize money, the tournament runs until July 13th.

On Friday evening, Brazilian side Flamengo take on Chelsea at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, with both sides having won their first game of the campaign.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some football betting angles for Friday’s FIFA Club World Cup fixtures:

Flamengo v Chelsea – Friday, 7pm

  • Flamengo got their campaign off to a perfect start after a fairly comfortable 2-0 victory against Esperance de Tunis and a victory in this one could all but confirm their place in the last sixteen, although they are the outsiders in this one.
  • Filipe Luis’ side are now unbeaten in their last nine games in all competitions, whilst they’ve only ever faced English opposition on two occasions previously, having faced Liverpool in 1981 and 2019 (W1, L1).
  • Flamengo have been solid at the back and will be hoping to continue their run on Friday, having conceded in just three of their last sixteen games in all competitions.
    ——————————–
  • Chelsea also made the perfect start to their FCWC after a 2-0 victory against LAFC in their opener, with the Blues now sitting top of Group D.
  • Enzo Maresca’s side have now won nine of their last ten games in all competitions and should be full of confidence ahead of this one, whilst Liam Delap will be hoping to get the nod to start here.
  • I don’t think there will be much between these two sides on Friday and i don’t think we’ll be in for a goal-fest, both teams have the capabilities of finding the back of the net but i’m expecting a close encounter.

Prediction: Draw, Flamengo 1-1 Chelsea.
