Bayern Munich v Auckland City – Sunday, 5pm

• Bayern Munich qualified for the FCWC by their UEFA ranking, having reached at least the quarter-final stage in their last five UEFA Champions League campaigns, the Bavarians have won the Club World Cup twice before back in 2013 and 2020.
• Vincent Kompany’s side ended their campaign strongly last month, not only did they claim their thirty-fourth Bundesliga title, they are also on a run of seven games without defeat in all competitions.

• Auckland City head to the USA off the back of claiming their fourth consecutive OFC Champions League after a 2-0 victory against Hekari United.
• The Navy Blues’ heaviest defeat at a Club World Cup is 3-0, although this is their first ever meeting against a UEFA side, they’ve lost their last five CWC matches.
• This will be some experience for the side from New Zealand who aren’t expected to take anything from this one if the betting odds are anything to go by, i think it could be a long afternoon for the Navy Blues.

Paris Saint-Germain v Atletico Madrid – Sunday, 8pm

• This will be the first time that PSG have participated in the competition, with Luis Enrique’s side heading to the United States full of confidence following their UEFA Champions League success after a 5-0 victory against Inter Milan in Munich just three weeks ago, a result which completed a quadruple for the Parisians. 
• PSG enter the competition as favourites on the betting market and with Botafogo and Seattle Sounders the two other sides making up the group, the winner of this one could be vital in terms of topping Group B.
• This is the first meeting between two European sides at the Club World Cup and just the second competitive meeting between these two sides, with Atletico beating PSG 2-1 in the UEFA Champions League seven months ago.

• It was a fairly disappointing campaign for Atletico Madrid who finished third in La Liga and twelve points behind winners Barcelona but Diego Simeone’s side enter this competition with six wins in their last nine outings. 
• Like their opponents on Sunday, this is also the first time that Atletico Madrid have been involved in the Club World Cup and they should take some confidence in the fact they’ve scored exactly four goals three of their last four La Lia fixtures.
• This will be a tough ask for Atleti but it should be an interesting game, PSG have only kept two clean sheets in their last six outings, whilst all three meetings between these two sides (including friendlies) have seen both teams find the back of the net.
