Manchester City have one foot in the EFL Cup final and will be looking to complete the job on Wednesday night when they face Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium.

• Manchester City must simply avoid defeat by two or more goals on Wednesday night against the holders Newcastle United to secure their first EFL Cup final in the last five years, as they’ll be hoping to pick up this trophy for a ninth time next month.
• Pep Guardiola’s side return to home soil having blown a 2-0 lead away at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in the Premier League, the 2-2 stalemate has seen the Cityzens lose ground once again on Arsenal at the top of the league, with the gap now at six points.
• City have won all hour of their EFL Cup games by a two-goal margin whilst they’ve also won each of the last eleven home games against Newcastle United, you have to go back to 2014 for the last time they tasted defeat here against the Magpies.

• Newcastle United have it all to do if they have any chance of defending their trophy, especially given their really poor record away at Man City, winning just one of their last twenty-three visits to this side of Manchester.
• The Magpies continue to struggle on the road, Saturday night’s 4-1 thumping at Liverpool in the Premier League means they’ve now won just three of their sixteen games away from home this season, not ideal when they need to win this one by at least two goals to stay in the competition.
• Given all of the above, the home form of Manchester City and that terrible record that the Magpies have on their travels to Manchester, i’m going to back Pep Guardiola’s side to secure themselves a tenth final in this competition.

Significant Conditions

1. The promotion runs from 08:00 (UK time) on Thursday 7th August 2025 until otherwise cancelled by us in accordance with these Terms (the “Promotion Period”).
2. This Acca Boost promotion is available to both online customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland using the William Hill website (williamhill.com – the “Website”) or William Hill iOS or Android Mobile app (together, the “Apps”) and UK retail customers in William Hill shops.
3. To qualify, place a Qualifying Acca on a Sports Betting Terminal or over the counter on Smart Hub SSBT in William Hill shops, or online via the Website or the App, during the Promotion Period.
4. A “Qualifying Acca” is:
   1. A cash stake of any value (no minimum stake);
   2. On any football acca made of 4 or more selections;
   3. Each with odds of 1/5 (1.2) or bigger;
   4. On the Promotion Markets.
5. The “Promotion Markets” are:
   1. 90 Minutes;
   2. 90 Minutes 2 Up;
   3. Both Teams To Score;
   4. Match Under/Over Goals.
6. No opt in required. If the requirements of a Qualifying Acca are met, the promotion will be applied automatically. If any acca contains any selection with odds of less than 1/5 (1.2), it will not be a Qualifying Acca.
7. Qualifying Acca wins (less the value of the original stake) will receive an “Acca Boost”, whereby winnings will be boosted by a variable percentage, dependent on the number of selections in the Qualifying Acca:
   1. 4 selections – 5% Acca Boost
   2. 5 selections – 7.5% Acca Boost
   3. 6 selections – 10% Acca Boost
   4. 7 selections – 15% Acca Boost
   5. 8 selections – 20% Acca Boost
   6. 9 selections – 25% Acca Boost
   7. 10 selections – 30% Acca Boost
   8. 11 selections – 35% Acca Boost
   9. 12 selections – 40% Acca Boost
   10. 13 selections – 45% Acca Boost
   11. 14 selections – 50% Acca Boost
   12. 15 selections or above – 100% Acca Boost
8. The increasing percentage of rewards in the Acca Boost reflects the relative risk of placing Qualifying Accas with a higher number of selections.
9. The following maximum Acca Boost amounts will be applied per Qualifying Acca:
   1. For retail customers: £2,000
   2. For online customers: £10,000.
10. There is no daily limit of Qualifying Accas.
11. In the case of void selections within a Qualifying Acca, the Acca Boost will still apply but the percentage applied will be calculated according to the final number of winning selections.
12. In the case of an Acca dropping to three selections or less, the acca will lose its Qualifying Acca status and Acca Boost will not apply.
13. Any Acca Boost on winnings will be applied as part of the standard bet settlement process.
14. Bets you place using free bets cannot be combined with the Acca Boost
15. Any acca that has been cashed out will not be eligible for an Acca Boost.
16. For retail customers, the promotion is not available on standard over the counter bets.
