UEFA Europa League
Europa League Outright Tips And Predictions Ahead Of The Quarter-Finals (2025)

Ahead of the quarter-finals of the 2024/25 Europa League, Athletic Club are the narrow football betting favourites at 10/3.
The La Liga outfit are priced just shorter than Manchester United, Tottenham, and Lazio, with the quartet favoured to qualify for the semis.
Athletic’s status as favourites is largely down to a favourable quarters matchup with Rangers. The Scottish club don’t have the longest price to lift the trophy, however, with that honour going to Bodø/Glimt, who are priced at 40/1 at the time of writing. The Eliteserien team face Lazio in the last eight.
This has traditionally been a competition dominated by Spanish clubs (and not just because of Sevilla). Four different La Liga teams have won the Europa League since 2003/04, while Chelsea and Manchester United are the only English teams to lift the trophy in that period.
Athletic Club Win the Europa League – 10/3
Backing the favourites isn’t the spiciest of Europa League predictions. Athletic Club aren’t way ahead of the pack, though, and the Premier League duo of Manchester United and Tottenham have been the favourites for much of the season.
Fourth in La Liga and finishing with the joint-most points in the league phase, Athletic are tied with Lazio for the competition’s best defensive record by expected goals conceded (0.91 per 90 minutes).
They have already overcome Roma in the knockout phase of the competition and have only lost one home match across La Liga and the Europa League this season.
Expected to cruise past a much less talented Rangers team, Athletic will be favoured against Lyon or Manchester United in the semis.
Eintracht Frankfurt to Reach the Final – 3/1
Having made light work of Ajax in the last round and sitting fourth in the Bundesliga, bookies are underrating Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of the quarter-finals.
Tottenham, Frankfurt’s last eight opponents, have been woeful all season. Unable to find any semblance of consistency, Ange Postecoglou’s job is under threat, and we don’t have any faith in Spurs putting in two strong enough performances to knock out Frankfurt.
If the German side make it past the Lilywhites, they will likely be facing Lazio in the semis. Lazio lost 5-0 to Bologna before the international break and have only won two of their last eight matches across all competitions.
Top Scorer Options
Of the eight players with six or seven goals in the Europa League, Kasper Høgh of Bodø/Glimt, Vaclav Cerny of Rangers, and Lyon’s Malick Fofana are the only players still in the competition.
With our confidence in Athletic to go all the way, Iñaki Williams (five) and Nico Williams (four) are well-positioned to top score. The pair could fill their boots against Rangers, and their pace is bound to pose problems for whoever they meet in the semi-finals.
Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette averages the most expected goals per 90 minutes of any player left in the tournament and has three goals to his name. The former Arsenal man could prove to be a good live betting option.
