UEFA Europa League 2025/2026 – Nottingham Forest Top 8 Odds & Predictions

Europa League Trophy ADOBE

The UEFA Europa League is back for the 55th season of Europe’s secondary club football tournament, with thirty-six teams from across Europe battling it out with a dream of reaching the final in Istanbul.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the UEFA Europa League.

The UEFA Europa League’s group/league phase will conclude on Thursday night with seventeen sides still in with a chance of securing a spot in the next round automatically with a top eight finish, with Aston Villa and Lyon the only two sides that have confirmed their places with a game to spare.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some UEFA Europa League Top 8 Finish Odds and predictions:

*All odds subject to change – prices correct at the time of writing*

Nottingham Forest – 33/1

Nottingham Forest still have a chance of a top eight finish but it’s extremely unlikely and will need quite a lot of results to go in their favour, their 1-0 defeat at Braga really put them up against it, all they can do is win on Thursday night and hope luck is on their side when they face Ferencvaros.

Freiburg – 1/200

  • German side Freiburg are heavy favourites to make the top eight and that’s expected having taken seventeen points so far, it would almost take the unthinkable for Julian Schuster’s side not to finish in the top eight, they’d only find themselves in the play-off spots via goal-difference and a huge defeat away at Lille.

Midtjylland – 1/200

  • As above really for Danish side Midtjylland, the betting odds suggest this one is a foregone conclusion and having taken sixteen points thus far, it would take a lot to see them drop out of the top eight.

Braga  – 1/10

  • Braga have given themselves a huge chance of securing a top eight finish after beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 in Matchday seven, they sit two points above the play-off places with a trip to Go Ahead Eagles on Thursday night, a side which have lost their last four UEL fixtures.

Roma – 1/6

  • Roma have won each of their last four UEFA Europa League outings to give Gian Piero Gasperini’s side a shot at automatic qualification. However, i personally think they could miss out given they sit just one point above the play-off places and have to travel to Panathinaikos on Thursday, a tough game.

Porto – 1/3

  • FC Porto are placed just outside those precious top eight spots only via goal-difference but would be one of my picks to grab themselves an automatic qualification spot come full-time on Thursday night, they face a Rangers side who have won just one of their seven UEL games so far.

Real Betis – 8/13

  • Given Real Betis start this week occupying hat final automatic spot, you could say 8/13 is a good price to Manuel Pellegrini’s side to end the UEL league phase here as well, they return to home soil on Thursday against a Feyenoord side sat in twenty-sixth place.

Genk – 11/8

  • Genk will fancy their chances of securing a top eight spot as well and 11/8 again looks a good price, the Belgian side are just one point behind the top eight and will face one of the three sides that are yet to pick up a win so far in Malmo, a three points should be in order.

Best Of The Rest:

  • Ferencvaros – 11/4 – My Pick.
  • Stuttgart – 3/1
  • Red Star Belgrade – 15/2
  • Bologna – 9/1
  • Fenerbahce – 33/1
  • Viktoria Plzen – 40/1
  • Panathinaikos – 100/1
