With some heavyweight clashes and potential upsets in store, we are giving you the lowdown on each of the remaining sides and what we can expect to see from these quarter-final matchups.
Bet on Euro 2024 with William Hill
Spain vs Germany – Friday 5 July, 17:00
The first quarter-final matchup pits the two standout teams from Euro 2024 against each other. As the only side to have won all of their games at the tournament, Spain head into the match as narrow favourites at 7/4.
Germany remain undefeated but only managed a draw against Switzerland in their final group stage game. With home advantage on their side they are extremely slim underdogs at 9/5.
Both sides have an abundance of attacking talent which they will want to utilise. Our pick for Spain vs Germany is Lamine Yamal, Jamal Musiala & Florian Wirtz to have at least 1 shot on target each at 7/2.
Portugal vs France – Friday 5 July, 20:00
Despite being two of the biggest names in the tournament, the well-touted outfits of Portugal and France are yet to hit the heights expected of them. Didier Deschamps’ side were one of the pre-tournament favourites and hold that status in this game at 7/5 to emerge victorious.
Euro 2016 winners Portugal were looking like a team to be feared before losing their final group game against Georgia and scraping by Slovenia on penalties in the round of 16, with those blips making them 23/10 underdogs here.
Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to make his mark on this tournament but it is not for the want of trying and we expect him to be at the centre of the action again. Our pick for Portugal vs France is under 3.5 goals and Cristiano Ronaldo to have over 1 shot on target at 5/2.
England vs Switzerland – Saturday 6 July, 17:00
England were the pre-tournament favourites and, despite four underwhelming performances, remain so at 7/2 to win Euro 2024. A last minute Jude Bellingham goal kept them in the tournament and that less than convincing win is still enough to make them 5/4 favourites to overturn the Swiss here.
Switzerland have already put in two huge performances against well-fancied sides, holding Germany to a draw in their final group game and beating Italy 2-0 in the round of 16. They look a well-drilled, talented side who could easily overturn their 14/5 underdog status.
Rumours of a system change could see England try to stretch the pitch and deliver crosses into the box, whilst Switzerland may rely on moments of magic from some of their star names. Our pick for England vs Switzerland is England most corners, England most cards and Xherdan Shaqiri to have at least 1 shot on target at 8/1.
Netherlands vs Turkey – Saturday 6 July, 20:00
The last quarter-final will see the Netherlands and Turkey battle it out for a place in the semis. Neither side have taken Euro 2024 by storm, finishing third and second in their respective groups, but it is the Dutch who are fancied to progress at 6/10.
Having headed into their round of 16 game against Austria – who ousted France and the Netherlands to finish atop Group D – as underdogs, Turkey will have to produce another upset and defy odds of 24/5 if they are to be one of the final four.
After feisty games against Georgia and Austria, three of Turkey’s squad are suspended and seven are carrying yellow cards, so expect them to ease off the tackles somewhat. Netherlands will hope to seize the opportunity presented to them by being on the more favourable side of the draw. Our pick for Netherlands vs Turkey is under 6.5 cards, Cody Gakpo to have at least 1 shot on target and Hakan Çalhanoğlu to be carded at 7/1.
