France Euro Guide: The latest fixtures, results, team news and odds

| BY News Team

Out of the 24 teams participating in this summer’s European Championship, none stand out quite like the reigning champions of the world, France.

Although France are the current World Cup champions, they will be looking to rectify their disastrous ending at the last European Championships where they lost to Portugal on home soil in the Euro 2016 Final. Didier Deschamps most certainly has the side to conquer this year’s Euros with the likes of Kylian Mbappé and N’golo Kante in his France Euro squad ready to take the tournament by storm.

Who’s in the confirmed line up for France’s 2021 squad?

The 26-man France Euros squad is enriched with speed, skill and pure talent with the likes of Mbappe, Paul Pogba, Kante and Antoine Griezmann. If those talents were not enough for you, Deschamps has recalled Real Madrid and footballing legend Karim Benzema back to the French team for the tournament. Benzema was the stand out call-up to the squad and will be playing in his first major tournament with France since 2014. See below for the France Euro squad.

Who do France play next at the Euros?

France have been placed in the ‘Group of Death’ for this summer’s Euros and looking at the sides they are taking on, you can see why…

France begin their Euro group campaign against fellow European giants Germany on June 15 at the Allianz Arena before a slightly easier game against Hungary on June 19. France’s next match in the group stage fixtures is against reigning champions Portugal on June 23, a game in which will be a re-run of the 2016 Euro final.

What are the odds that France win the Euros?

As current reigning champions of the world, it comes as no surprise that France are the outright favourites to win the tournament, with the France odds to win the Euros at 9/2, but an interesting outright to focus on this year is their Euros group winner odds.

France are favourites to win Group F at 11/8 but can they overcome the might of Germany and Portugal?

What’s the latest news on the France football team?

As for France team news, apart from a slight muscular injury to Thomas Lemar, Deschamps has no current injury worries heading into European Championship.

Kante was a worry towards the end of the season but after a two game break, he managed to earn himself a MOTM performance in the Champions League final which is not the worst way to get ready for a European Championships.
