Now, let’s take a closer look at some betting angles for Saturday’s FA Cup fixtures:
Fulham v Crystal Palace – Saturday, 12.15pm
- Following their penalty shootout success at Old Trafford at the start of the month, Fulham have taken another step towards securing their first major trophy.
- Marco Silva’s side went into the international break off the back of an impressive 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur, a result which moved the Cottagers up to eighth, just two points off the top six in the Premier League.
- These two sides have already met twice in the league this season, with each side winning 2-0 in their away fixtures. Fulham haven’t won any of the last six competitive meetings between these two sides at Craven Cottage.
——————————– - Like their opponents on Sunday, Crystal Palace are another side yet to win the FA Cup, although they did reach the final back in 2016.
- Oliver Glasner’s side confirmed their place in these quarter-finals with a victory against Championship side Millwall before following it up with a win against Ipswich Town in the Premier League, extending their unbeaten run, with wins in each of their last four competitive games.
- Crystal Palace have been brilliant on the road of late, they’ve lost just one of their last twelve away games in all competitions, whilst they’ve won each of their last five.
Prediction: Winner Of The Tie – Crystal Palace, Fulham 2-2 Crystal Palace (Crystal Palace On Penalties).
Brighton & Hove Albion v Nottingham Forest – Saturday, 5.15pm
- This fixture will haunt Brighton for a long time following their humiliating 7-0 defeat back in February, although the Seagulls have the perfect opportunity here to get some revenge and book their place at Wembley for the semi-final.
- Since that 7-0 defeat, Fabian Hurzeler’s side are yet to suffer defeat and extended their unbeaten record to seven games just before the international break, with a 2-2 draw away to Manchester City.
- Brighton failed to beat Nottingham Forest in both their meetings this season, whilst they’ve beaten them just twice in their last seven meetings.
——————————– - Winners of this competition back in 1898 and 1959, Nottingham Forest would love to conclude their unbelievable season with another FA Cup to add to their trophy cabinet.
- Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have beaten both Manchester City and Ipswich Town since their last FA Cup outing, moving them up to third in the Premier League and six points clear of Man City in fifth.
- Despite their 4-2 victory on the road at Ipswich Town in their last outing, that remains the only away win for the Tricky Trees in their last five attempts.
Prediction: Brighton 2-2 Nottingham Forest, Both Teams To Score & Draw.
